On average how long does it take for a wedding vendor to respond to you?

I got some responses back immediately and some took a week or more, some I haven't ever heard from. I found that finding someone to email directly rather than on inquiry links usually gets a faster response.

All of the vendors I have contacted are preferred vendors from our venue. Most, if not all respond within 24 hours, with at least an acknowledgment of receiving the email. I don't think I've gone more than 72 hours (weekends, busy wedding seasons, etc.) without receiving a response. Maybe this is why these venders are preferred! Good luck!

When I first started talking to vendors, I got some immediate and some I got around the one week mark. The caterer we decided to go with didn't get back to me until a little over a month after emailing and calling them. I had to contact my venue manager to help me reach out to them and not too long after she did, I got an email from the caterer.

My venue responded the same day I sent in a request for pricing. However I have reached out to a cake baker twice and have not received a response at all and it’s been about 2 months. Luckily for me the venue is all inclusive so I haven’t really had to start talking to the caterer or a florist or anything like that just yet ☺️

Makes sense. I'm trying not to fret because my venue is also all-inclusive. But at the same time, I do want extra work in terms of flowers for the wedding, and my florist has been completely non-responsive.

It also takes my venue rep on average well over a week to respond. It's just a little frustrating at times, especially when you're securing hotel blocks for the spring.

Yeah - I'm trying to find alternative people to contact in case I need a more immediate response.

Sometimes they take a week, sometimes it's immediate. I just assume that they're busy and don't always check their emails right away. I'm sure you'll hear back soon. There's been once or twice where I had to send a follow up email, just to confirm that they received my last email, but really I was just trying to get them to answer my first, lol! I only did that after I hadn't hear back in a couple weeks though.

I've had a mix. All the DJ's responded within a day or two. Wedding planners responded pretty quick, as do photographers. The caterers have been super quick or kind of lagging.

But every time I mention something about planning every one says “you still have a year”. But in reality that year will be here before we even know it.
