Her family feels most "preteen" styles are a little too grown for her.

My 9 year old FG just ordered her dress today. We looked at dresses in department stores, not bridal shops. I was looking for dresses that had coordinating big girl and little girl versions because our RB is a 4 year old girl. It just so happened that for this dress that we settled on, the little girl version of the dress seems like it will be identical to the big girl version (big girl version pictured).

We initially found this dress on the Dillard's website, and honestly, that was my favorite place to look through girl dresses. They were sold out if the size my FG needed, so we were able to find and order it elsewhere.

I found my older flower girl dress on Etsy. She is 9 as well. It is navy to match the BP but more playful for her age. She will be walking in the middle of two younger flower girls who will wear an ivory color with a similar style of dress as her.

I'll add most department stores had white/ivory dresses in sizes 7-16 that did not look like they were meant for a preteen.

Wait until April and look for Easter dresses in department stores. They'll have a lot of white dresses in stock then and if you go right after Easter, you might be able to find them for a fantastic price too

Look into communion dresses

Penny's and Burlington's also have first Communion dresses that come in appropriate sizes!

Go out at Easter time and look at dresses. Or, look for "Sacrament" dresses, usually tea length and modest
