@Admin Jo -- thank you so much for these last few posts. I've been following since early yesterday, and those posts are the first I've seen that try to offer concrete explanations, a willingness to take suggestions, and demonstrate some empathy for users' concerns and frustrations. All three may help loyal users adapt to and better accept all the changes. I'm sure it's been a tough couple of days on your end as well. Thanks!

I know it's been tough on you all too and you have every right to feel upset. Please take our word we are never ignoring you on purpose, we're just buried. Not to get sympathy points (ok, literally exactly to get sympathy points!!) we all went in to work yesterday and 3am and didn't leave until well into the evening, and we were back in at 6, 7, 8am today. We'll do better, we're still learning and figuring a lot of things out too (and we're getting logged out just like you guys are!!). I HAVE to sign off now but let's do this again tomorrow, shall we?

Jo, I think we all realize that we are shooting the messenger here, and you are not the one who personally made all these decisions and changes.

Hopefully you can understand why it's frustrating for us to hear from YOU how confusing you find the interface now, and how much work you are having to do to keep up with complaints, troubleshooting, etc. because these things all should have been worked out before the update went live.

Why was no one asked to beta test the update? That would have solved 98% of the complaints you are fielding right now.

Circling back, I understand that you are simply the messenger, but hopefully next time WW will choose a different approach, and not just drop these types of changes on us with no warning, and what seems like very little forethought.

For now, it would be really nice if you could compile a document of exactly what changes to the CGs were made, and how the new changes will be implemented (a definition of "profanity" would be infinitely helpful, for example).

I literally had no idea what was going on - I kept refreshing the app and there were no new threads for two days. I logged on in my mobile browser and stumbled upon all these vague references to major changes and FS suddenly difficult to navigate and find everything.

Warning definitely would have been nice.

Also is there no way to edit posts now?

I hate the new layout...now there’s some Point system too *eyeroll*

You have to be on desktop, and you only have 60 minutes before the "edit" button goes away.

On mobile, I can rearrange the discussions in order by "last comment", but on desktop, I can't.

This layout is awful. I thought it'd be more like other internet forums, but this is just its own thing.

The downside to the mobile though is I have to completely go out of the forums and go back in and start over to view discussions. I can't just refresh the page or click on the back button.

I reeeeally want to like this new thing you're all doing, but it's REALLY HARD. It is honestly a hot mess and makes me not to want to come on here because it's so difficult to navigate.

I’m still adjusting too. I was actually thinking I was getting way too addicted to WW forum so I guess this is a reason to step away for a while till things calm down and get re-arranged again. I miss the old format. And for the record, I’m team #freeCelia too.

The only other forum I've been on that rolled out such a massive update without talking to the users was unclutterer.com and that forum died a fiery death a few weeks later. I mean, technically it still exists but it's nothing like it was. The site owner was allllllllll up in arms about the money she spent on the new forum and unwilling to engage with people on their criticism of it so slowly everyone trickled out. I'm biding my time to see how things go over here, but I'm saddened by the way this has gone down.

Can something be done about threads coming back from 6 years ago? 😂
