We had a joke about this when a couple of my sister's and brothers, and first cousins, and us, all married in 7 months. But the next spring, when my younger sister's FMIL was given to commenting, well no one is ever turned away from a wedding, once they get there, so if you cannot decide on the invitation, just let it slide and show up if you can . . . a statement that made my sister's blood run cold . . . Sis remembered our old joke. She enlisted her FMIL help to do seating chart. She had filled in our family, and friends, who all rsvp'd within 2 weeks. And had the number of tables she thought needed for all of those who had replied, in law's side. And two large oval tables outside the double doors to the main dining room, in the lobby. And told FMIL , the venue only sets up the exact number of tables called for in RSVPs, so the central dance floor and the service aisles will be as large as possible. So anyone who has not filled out the RSVP with every person invited, coming or not, will sit at the lobby tables with their extra guests, along with those who never sent in RSVP at all. Til the 2 tables of extra people are full. The waitstaff can go out the back kitchen door to them, after the dining room is served, the guests who rsvp'd being first and included in everything. And no one will be turned away from their meal. They will eat before the staff sends them home. . . Sis is a good poker player. In the coming 3-4 days, every person who had not previously rsvp'd on in law's side either sent an email or called and left a message, that they were or were not coming. Choices given along with mailing a card, to start with. FMIL burned up the phone lines, no more advising people it did not matter about a silly RSVP thing . . . . The Pinterest " bring a chair and a sandwich" speaks to the heart of every bride who thinks, why is it we have to follow perfect manners, and guests can act like !$!#! and think we will still be happy hosts?

I sent that as a reminder text to some people after sending 2 nice reminders the two weeks prior to the RSVP date.

Still have not received all of them back.

    The Wedding is 9/21.

If they didn’t RSVP, then their name is not on the Seating Chart. This means that they can attend the Ceremony, but they will not eat.

Good. ITS SO disrespectful if they don’t rave but then show up expecting there to still be a place for them.
