So I got my dinner options from my reception caterer and for the sit down dinner option (vs buffet) there is no vegetarian option. They offer prime rib, salmon, or chicken. I've always dreamed of doing a sit down dinner, but do I need to rethink since they don't offer a vegetarian option? Off the top of my head I can't think of a single person we are inviting that is vegetarian, but I may be wrong or plus one's may follow a vegetarian diet and I don't know.

Please give me your opinions.

My venue offers up to 10 dietary restriction plates that are Chef choice at no additional fee. I had to ask.

We will not be offering a vegetarian option as a meal, however will have a spot on the RSVP for 'dietary restrictions' as long as less than 10% of people need a special meal we won't get charged a fee (our venue charges $3pp for two entree options and $5pp for three, so if more than 10% need a special meal Wed get charged an extea $5pp for giving 3 options)

I have a vegan, a vegetarian, and potentially a gluten free...venue will accommodate all of that on a per person basis without it as an actual meal choice.

It is definitely not a deal breaker. I wouldn't worry about it since you don't know anyone right off the top. We have 2 guests that are allergic to gluten. Did we cater our whole meal plan around them? No. We asked our caterer for 2 gluten free meals. Easy peasy.

Andie - than i would hope you drop dead.

That seems super rude to not care if YOUR guest cant eat anything offered......

Kara - just ask I bet they can accommodate. Mine could also offer dairy or gluten free and something else I can remember (because I didn't need it)

Just saw your update - just leave a spot at the bottom of your card for dietary needs!
