My FH and I are struggling to agree on a honeymoon location! We were looking at going somewhere tropical (I’ve never seen chrystal clear water) without breaking the bank! So do we take the risk and go to the Bahamas or Caribbean or anywhere else or do we just stay in the states? I’ve been looking at cruises (also something I’ve never done) so we can see more than one place, but peak hurricane season has everyone worried! What do I do? Where are you going?! 😊

Yes, it's all inclusive! I would say it's reasonably priced for everything you get, but "expensive" looks different for different people. To me it's reasonably priced for an all-inclusive. It was around the same cost as the resort we ended up staying at but at a much better location. There are cheaper all-inclusive options for sure but the reviews for those were iffy. There are also much more expensive options.

That's amazing! How many days is your cruise? I'm throwing around the possibility of one as well for our honeymoon next May.

We are getting married October 12 and are going to Hawaii on October 14 for a week. Our top destination choices were Aruba, Costa Rica or Hawaii.

You could do a slightly delayed honeymoon and wait till November to cruise. That is my favorite time to take a cruise. The weather is beautiful and no longer hurricane risk and while its getting cold everywhere else its still really warm in the popular cruise areas BUT not sweltering! Its amazing. You could also do FL and just go to the Keys or Fort Myers or something. Its a tad pricey but you will get blue waters for sure.

We live in FL so tropical esc was not what we wanted. We love being outdoors so we are just doping a mini moon. After the wedding we will stay in TN for a few days and then hit Savannah for a few days as well then Orlando theme parks before heading home. We plan on doing a tropical honeymoon in April of next year though once we save for it, or maybe go to Iceland.

If you’re willing to wait cruise prices tend to be low around early February. We cruise fairly regularly and have noticed this. It’s also not hurricane season at that point.

I’m okay with waiting but my FH insist on leaving the day or so after our wedding so that “it feels like a honeymoon and not just a vacation” lol

We did our honeymoon last October during hurricane season. Cruises are actually a "safer" option during hurricane season since they can change course out of the path of the hurricane, but if you chose an all-inclusive you would be stuck on the island.
