October brides where are you honeymooning??

My FH and I are struggling to agree on a honeymoon location! We were looking at going somewhere tropical (I’ve never seen chrystal clear water) without breaking the bank! So do we take the risk and go to the Bahamas or Caribbean or anywhere else or do we just stay in the states? I’ve been looking at cruises (also something I’ve never done) so we can see more than one place, but peak hurricane season has everyone worried! What do I do? Where are you going?! 😊

We will be doing a mini moon ghe Smoky Mountains after our wedding in October 2020, then will be doing a cruise through the Norwegian fjords the following spring or summer 2021

I have been on a cruise during a hurricane. Not an experience I ever want to repeat! If you want a safer bet and a tropical location, I would suggest Costa Rica. It gorgeous and October is a great time of year to go!

My fiancee and I also considered cruises. The problem for us is that he will not fly so our choices are pretty limited. We have decided to go to Niagara Falls instead since it is a place that neither of us has been.

We booked ours during peak hurricane season and it cost us like nothing so I would say take your chances! Either way it will be a fun experience together.

We aren't into the tropical destinations so we are doing the European thing. We are landing in Reykjavik, Iceland for a few days. After that we're going to Nurburg, Germany to drive on the Nurburgring. Next stop is Paris for a few days. It's our dream vacation and we cannot wait to explore some areas of the world we've never seen before.
Having said that, we are doing our "honeymoon" on our one year anniversary because that's the timing that worked best for us. We have rented a cabin for five days near our wedding venue in the Smoky Mountains (Tennessee) for right after our wedding and our 4 best friends are staying with us to continue the celebration.

I would prefer an all-inclusive. I've been looking at Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas mainly, but I'm open to other options.

RIU Palace in Cabo is a great option. When we went to Cabo we stayed at another hotel and the hotel itself was great but but the beach that RIU is on was WAY better. If I ever go back I will probably stay at RIU or one of the nearby beaches. And Cabo is beautiful!

We are going to Ireland... however, fall is their rainy (& cold) season. So we are waiting until the spring. We are doing a minimoon in Banner Elk, NC right after the wedding for a week.

October 12th here! We're doing an all inclusive in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We were originally planning to go to the Dominican Republic, but my FH is a huge worrier so we cancelled once all the stories came out. Our flight leaves at 8:30a the day after we get married.

I've been on like 7 cruises and they're a lot of fun, but if you do go on one I would highly recommend Royal Caribbean! Norweigan has a ton of old people and Carnival is just a cest pool of party animals and noise. Royal Caribbean is definitely romantic, and I've been to the Caribbean and the Bahamas! Out of the two the Bahamas is way better IMO. Best of luck to you two and happy planning!
