Hey ladies and gents!!! How has the virus affected your planning for an October wedding? Are you still planning? Are you having any push back from wedding party or family? What about bridal showers and bachelorette parties? Are they still on or are you cancelling? Thanks in advance!!!

This has not affected our wedding planning at all (October 31st). Our bridal shower is scheduled for August 29th - I am not worrying about it yet because it is still 5-7 months away. I'm using this quarantine time to make all of our wedding favors & hand stamping all of our wedding invitations.

Wedding date twins!!! I'm 10/24 too! We haven't pushed anything back but we're definitely holding our breaths. I've seen a few brides who were supposed to get married in March/April push their weddings back to September or October so that makes me worry less. But we really won't know until Covid-19 runs its course or until Augustish I think 😥😔 I feel like until my venue tells me otherwise I'll keep carrying on as planned.
Silver lining - I'm getting a lot of planning and DIYing done recently!

As of right now no! Both my bridal shower and bachelorette / bachelor party are in July the 11th and the 25th- and my sisters are still planning them as they have been. Hopefully they aren't affected.

Our backup plan is to get married in December / July if we need to postpone - maybe even late october but we're hoping those are last resorts. Our honeymoon is August 8th they day after in Maui so I'm just praying hard it's not all affected.

I pray that everything goes as your originally planned! I know times are tough right now but these are things that we are looking forward to and I think it’s important to keep some type of normalcy! Sending prayers your way!!

I understand your concerns - I'm honestly just trying to stay positive... especially now seeing countries like China lifting their bans. I just hope that the U.S. will take the necessary precautions. There are so many brides with dates closer than ours I feel for them so much more.... Smiley sad

Same! It breaks my heart that many of them either had to move their dates or they made the best of their circumstances❤️ It’s all so sad

Nothing has changed for me so far. I reached out to our venue to get their thoughts and haven't heard back yet, so we'll see.

I didn't have any other bridal activities planned yet. I was leaving those up to other people, and no one had set a date for anything yet 🤷🏼‍♀️
My wedding is going to be in Lake Lure in the mountains of North Carolina! It's a very classic southern romantic venue, but I'm putting a modern twist on it! My colors are forest green, blush, and gold. I'm DIYing all the votives and vases in mercury gold, making some floating flower and candle things to float in the pool at the reception area, putting signs together, and my biggest project is knitting some wrap sweaters for my bridesmaids (they'll look cute than they sound I promise, lol)!

The wrap sweaters sound so pretty!!! I love that special touch! I love the green, blush and gold!!! I’m actually doing the same but adding burgundy to the color scheme. Are you getting the spray paint in the gold mercury? So many people are telling me about that Smiley smile I bought some mercury gold votives but need more larger size vases! I can’t wait to see pictures of yours!!!!!

Yes! I've been buying inexpensive glass vases from thrift stores and Dollar tree and using gold mirror spray paint! It can be tricky to get it just right, but the finished product is beautiful! And I love that you have burgandy in your color scheme! I almost did that too and ended up deciding to simplify, but I keep seeing pics on Pinterest with burgandy that tempt me to change my mind lol
That's one of the biggest reasons I don't want to postpone my wedding... It's been my dream to get married in the fall since I was little, and all my decor is very cozy and fall-y and I don't want to change 😖

If you don’t mind posting a picture of the gold sprayed vases I would love to see them!!!! And I’m right there with you! I think were going to be okay with the dates that we have... but it just depends if guests are comfortable by then do be in big groups! I love the fall time though! It’s going to be so beautiful! Have you found your dress yet?

That’s my wedding date. No cancellation yet? We still have a long way to go. Fortunately I have most things taken care of but they issued a stay at home order effective today which may affect me finding my florist. But I guess that’s not as important Lol.

I think if worse comes to worse and we are able, I would still get married with my family as witnesses. The date is now special to me. I would probably just have the reception another time if we could.

That is how I feel. We already discussed having a court house wedding on that date and a reception later or a small dinner party at a later date. I’m not too concerned my certain members of my bridal party are mentioning possibly rescheduling the date but I feel that’s a little premature.

If I can have my money back and it’s cancelled, I would have a do-over and love something a lot smaller lol.
