Ca bride here too! I'm getting married on 10/10/2020 in El Dorado county, but live in Sacramento. I'm going a little crazy too, as my venue is still closed and there's no way of me to get a hold of them besides leaving a voicemail when calling! But besides that, I'm trying to stay hopeful and still plan as usual. I've been booking vendors online, and ordering decor items online too. By August I'm getting my dressed altered, and hopefully most things will be open by then too. If I don't hear from my venue by end of summer though, my plan b is to get married in my parents backyard.

Hi Natalia! my wedding date was orginally Oct. 23rd. With all of uncertainty and impact COVID has had thus far if was in our best interest to postpone. I’ve been worrying since early April and decided Tuesday to postpone for next year. My nerves and anxiety can’t take it, I also have guests that would be coming in for all over the nation and have been hearing the worry from them about traveling. I say do whats best for you and your guests. The level of anxiety with worrying about wedding finalizations was not healthy or realistic for me..Im finding myself a lot more at peace knowing we can just let COVID run its course without putting anyone at risk.

I’m getting married October 10th. Unfortunately I think if you really want to get married on your day you have to be prepared for it to maybe not be exactly as you planned. Like you may need to lower or your guest list, or a lot of people may not show up anyway due to the situation. Are you okay with people possibly having to wear masks? I’m not crazy about having to change things either but the date is important to us and really just getting married is what we want even if it’s just us and immediate family and close friends. Under 50 or even under 20 if we have to. Basically we’re preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.

I’m getting married October 18, 2020, and I’m still going forward with it! My guest list is small, only 80 guests, and I think we will be okay! Fingers crossed, and positive thoughts!

My fiancé and I have 10.10.20 as our date. We have 200 people expected to come, so we have come up with a plan B, which is summer 2021. My biggest thing is that as the bride, I’m putting too much money into looking pretty to have to wear a mask and not have my husband recognize me on the most important day of our life.
