Obsessing over a dress...any one seen it in person??

Its the Pnina Tornai 4019, a pretty blingtastic ballgown but its so me ha ha. I keep seeing it on SYTTD and whilst they are 'normal' people, I wanted to see some real pictures of it, or if anyones tried it on and its not as good as it looks?

Ooooh, I REALLY love the Mori Lee that Krissy posted! You'd save a lot of money, have easier access to it and still look absolutely gorgeous! I worked in a bridal boutique for many years and Mori Lee dresses were flattering and always fantastic to work with.

To be honest that dress is not worth that much $$. I've seen similar dresses that I'm sure are cheaper. IMO Pnina is over-rated and only made popular bc she is on SYTTD.

IMO pnina is not very pretty but to each their own... you can find a very pretty dress for half that price!

Thank you for your honest opinions on it, i genuinely appreciate it.

Just a note for those saying dont spend half the budget on the dress, we were just going to extend the budget, I wouldnt take away from any part of my day just for a dress Smiley smile I have more sense than that.

I'm a bit quirky and OTT myself so I do like Pnina's style, I know she a bit hit and miss. I actually love that allure version though Smiley smile Im not going to be stuck up about it by any means.

Jillian that maggie sottero is pretty! Ive not seen that one before

One of my college sorority sisters wore it for her wedding. All I could think was "how much did she spend on that, I saw it on SYTTD" It's lovely, but I think you could probably find something similar!

My dress is the Allure version of the one you want. I love it. It was $2100. I loved the hoop in it and is one of the reasons I got it. I found it to be comfortable but only wore it for about 10 minutes

Im not saying a knockoff. I dont trust those china sites, however I found alot of different dresses that i loves details from. I found a seamstress and together we designed and created MY dress. It was one of a kind and while expensive it was perfect and just what i wanted. Maybe you can take a pic of the dress to a talented seamstress and have them recreate it for you. NOONE is gonna look at your tag to see if it is really Pinina

Have you checked Stella York or Essence of Australia. They have beautiful dresses for a reasonable price, with a lot of bling.

No, but I have checked out allure 9003 like many of the pictures and it was all that and a bag of chips- and I normally don't even like the bling that isn't real crystals - the dress took my breath away!

It seems like things have changed for you since you posted this. If it was me and I had just lost my job, I would no longer consider buying a $10,000 dress or making my wedding budget larger. That's just me. I think some of the ladies have posted viable alternatives.

It's hard to be stuck between a rock and a hard place. Sorry about the loss of your job. :-(

This style # 2000 from Casablanca Bridal has almost the exact silhouette, minus the jewels...you could possibly have a seamstress give you an estimate of adding that detail; the dress itself is closer to $1,000.

I, too, extended my budget over a dress...lol it wasn't going to cause me to sacrifice on my flowers or my guests, though, so I'm right there with you.

I agree with Missy, the Mori Lee is nicer, but I just love clean lines.

I tried on the allure version first and then the pnina and I had my heart set on the pnina for about 3 years after seeing it on syttd. Once I had it on... I felt like there wasn't enough for me for the price I would pay... *shrug*

Yeah Sarah obviously I wouldn't be thinking about it atleast until another job was secured. Everyone has posted some very nice alternatives and I'm grateful for them, I will be checking out the allure if I can find it and the Mori Lee for sure
