Obsessing over a dress...any one seen it in person??

It is beautiful....had to look it up as I've never seen it in person. Someone has it one preownedweddingdresses.com for $9500....

I saw that.. and its in my size, but they wont ship to UK. Kleinfelds will but thats going to cost me a bomb. Its like 50% of our initial wedding budget. FH says I can have it but its still a dress at the end of the day... hoping someone can tell me its itchy, too heavy and made them look fat

I tried it on. Its itchy and it made me look fat....

Okay no I didn't but I don't care for it. Especially not for that price.

Of course its a beautiful dress. But honestly, I have seen it on so many girls on Say Yes to the Dress that I feel its played out. It lost its unique factor. Any girl whose budget is 10K gets put in this dress. You can definitely find something similar that is just as stunning.

If I'm spending 10k on a dress I would want the real deal lol. To clarify, 10k is not my budget, its just ive fallen in love with that specific dress so FH said he would get it for me and my dad will pay for me to get to Kleinfelds, which is incredible but I'm conscious about having sooo much money spent on it, i just wanted some honest opinions on if it was worth it

Spending 10k on a dress is like completly insane to me, you can get a blinged out ballgown for way less trust me! Mine was $550 and it has a ton of bling!

I googled your dress in this came up, lol. I know there are designers (other than these) that make a knock off version. Maybe not COVERED in bling like that one, but extremely similar (I think Allure, but not sure).

We dont get Allure over here, and I would only travel to US for a dress by Lazaro or Pnina really... the designers we typically get here are mori lee, maggie sottero, alfred angelo, watters and enzoani, so if anyone has any suggestions from those designers i would appreciate it I already know of Maggie Sottero 'Esme' which is very blingy

It is very similar.

I know its not the pnina, BUT truthfully IMO the Mori Lee is nicer. The Pnina is a little too over the top for me, where as this Mori Lee seems a little softer, and a little more elegant, but with a similar design and similar glam. AND MUCH less expensive!

The Allure gown was super heavy and had a gigantic hoop in the skirt. I imagine the Pnina dress would be very similar. I honestly couldn't imagine wearing that dress all day.

Half your budget for a gown? I'd advise against that. The skirt is beautiful, but, imo, the embellishments on the bodice are a little much. You want to wear the gown, not have the gown wear you. I'll look around at the manufacturers you have in the UK and see if there isn't something comparable, but reasonable.

Please don't spend that much money on a dress, especially if it's half your budget. I honestly don't care for Pnina dresses too much. They are always over the top to the point where they distract me more than making me appreciate them. I also think they have become so overdone since syttd. You can find a beautiful ballgown for a fraction of the cost.
