My fiancé and I are trying to get our marriage license. Unfortunately in order to do this we need to schedule a video conference with the marriage bureau and currently they have no availabilities through October (our Covid minimony is on September 12th.) Anyone else in NYC experiencing this?? Advice? We already paid the fee and they didn’t even let us look at availability until we did. Can we at the very least get our money back? Are there other NY counties that are issuing licenses to non-residents? Any advice appreciated!!

    We live in NYC and we’re getting our license in Yonkers. The only one I know that only gives licenses to residents is the one in White Plains. Check Westchester or Long Island if you’re in Brooklyn and Queens, there has to be one that offers one to non residents

    Email them, it what I did took them a Week to reply and give me a date. They will offer you a date very close to your wedding date like a few days before. The Clerk that replied to stated they open and close the schedule up every other week got to keep watching it but honestly who has time for that.

    I did see another NY bride just post about this same issue last week, so you're not the only one seeing that backed-up availability: New York marriage license.
