ny wedding/covid phases

Im thinking three also, since catering and hotels are in that phase but idk...hoping we get to open come the 15th. Im on Long Island and it doesnt look good for us. I think we only met 2 of the 8 requirements for reopening smh...fingers crossed

I don’t know about NY but our governor is still enforcing the 10 person limit here in VA. I just had to watch my cousins wedding virtually.

In Los Angeles they said weddings are in phase 3. They’re also planning to reopen Los Angeles in four phases.

My guess is that it would depend on how big your venue is, how big your guest list is, and what region your in...

If you're upstate, you might be able to do a bit more than if you're in the city. (We honestly don't see anything being relaxed until *at least* June, but we got hit hard.)

The stickler for me is that I see Arts/Entertainment in Phase 4, and I worry anything with a DJ will get lumped into that. (In the city, a lot of arts groups are expecting to be on hold through at least the fall.)

You've still got a bit of time before you have to make any decisions, so try to breathe and keep an eye on the phases!

Im in NY i believe weddings are in phase 3. i consider entertainment more like movie theater/sports games etc. people who have no idea what the situation in Ny is love to post negative things on here for some reason. while everywhere else in the country is getting worse, our infection rate is going down. even if cuomo extends ny on pause lets say to early june, that puts us at early july for the start of phase 3. we know the numbers are going down and now theyre saying theres very low transmission rate outdoors. when people start going outside more in the summer and it gets hotter im certain this virus will slow down. i also work in healthcare and we are seeing way less cases and deaths. be optimistic!!

I believe it is 3! I postponed my June wedding to the end of August so i am hoping New York will be in Phrase 3 by then, fingers crossed that we both get to have a our beautiful weddings. I wish you all the best!!!

I think it’s a combo of 3 and 4, so I’m grouping it with 4 to be on the safe side with planning. Here is what my fiancé and I have decided: July 1 is when he have to order invites and if things are still questionable, we postpone to next summer. We don’t want to jump the gun on postponing but we have to decide at some point that’s not way too late to shut us out from vendors in 2021. We have 200 people invited so I’m getting leery about how many the govt will allow us to have. I’m definitely not wearing a mask to the wedding after putting all that money into looking nice

I’m holding out hope for our 7/17 in Albany. Even if we can do something smaller than the original plan of 120 guests. We are waiting to send invites until 6/1.
