NWR - Who loves their job or career?

Hopefully this isn't a duplicate post. Seriously, I've always wanted to ask and get a lot of different perspectives on this: Who truly loves their job or career?! What do you love so much about your work? What education or experiences led you to this line of work? I know everything can't be all Care...

Who truly loves their job or career?!

What do you love so much about your work?

What education or experiences led you to this line of work?

I know everything can't be all Care Bears and rainbows but, I've heard more negative than positive on this subject lately so, humor me Smiley laugh

I do! It's the first job I feel like I'm actually good at, plus I get recognized here! Of course there are bad days, but overall I actually enjoy going to work!

    I love my job!

I am a hairstylist for kids!! I always knew I wanted to work with kids, and my original idea was to become a nurse and either work with newborns or at a pediatrics office. Didn't work out since I'm TERRIFIED of needles. (Don't know what I was thinking lol)

I started working at a kids hair salon when I was in high school as a receptionist and I loved it. The girls I worked with talked me into going to cosmetology school to get my license, so I did. I've been cutting kids hair for 4 years now and I'm in love with it. Yes I have days where the kids get on my last nerve and the parents too, but for the most part it is very rewarding. The money isn't the best right now because I just started working at a brand new salon about a year ago, but our clientele is building up so much! I actually do not dread going into work. Smiley smile

I love my present job, but I don't like the company I work for. I'm an electrical engineer working towards my professional designation. I'm working on the first high voltage DC converter stations (they come in pairs!) in Alberta. It's so cool to be working on something so huge and so new (for us at least!), and it'll have an impact on people here for generations to come Smiley smile I love the people I work with because they're fun and flexible. They pay and benefits are good. My company is ridic though and they're moving me soon to another department, even though I was told to commit for 5 years, they just changed their mind after my first year on this project!! Smiley sad

I graduated with a B. Sc. in Electrical Engineering Smiley winking

Oh, and I also sell Stella & Dot accessories but I'm looking into moving into an Etsy store with either wedding stationary or cake decorating because those are more my passion than fashion is. Just made my first fondant roses last night!!!

    Oo! Oo! Me!

I'm a software engineer. I am currently building security software from scratch for a company that owns almost every car dealership in the country. I'm VERY well taken care of and am given free reign on my projects! I have two BS degrees and am working on a Master's as we speak. Smiley smile I also maintain their IT department and internal software. I love it very much!

    I love mine.

I'm a University Lecture so obviously needed a degree and my MSc and my PhD. I started University at 18 and basically never left.

I really like it, both sides. The eduactional student side and the research side
