NWR: National Dog Day!

Yasmina, on August 26, 2016 at 10:29 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 111

Hey all, thanks to the power of the internet, I have learned that today is National Dog Day!

So lets see those pups!

Here's my Gentleman Jack. He's a beagle/dachshund mix. He enjoys long walks in the grass, and eating everything in sight. He is a professional snuggler.

Second picture is my Phèdra. She's an Irish Doodle (Irish Setter/Standard Poodle)/Chihuahua mix. She enjoys cuddling, playing with her tug rope, and leaping around like a gazelle. She is a professional cutie pie. Smiley laugh

That's the same puppy - the day we got her, and what she actually looks like about 10 months later.

It's crazy how different she looks - but she's still FULL of puppy energy. I'm currently here playing fetch trying to help her burn it off!

    Dogs in glasses = hysterical!

    ETA: spelling

    Aw!! So cute!!!!!

Possum, we called her Phedra after the main character in the Kusheil's Dart books. In the books, Phedra has a red fleck in her eye. Our pup has a blue one!!! Smiley laugh We thought it was fitting.

Natasha is my mom's boyfriend's dog. She is super sweet and quiet, and she walks by and butts up against you for affection!

Aris (aka Aristotle) was adopted from a shelter more than 2 years ago. He is very very attached to me and gives me a worked look when I'm getting ready to leave. He only has a few select people he loves and nips strangers which isn't good Smiley sad he is a rat terror + Maltese mix.

Flora is very very barky in public, but once you get to know her she's the sweetest thing. She loves to cuddle up and sit on people's laps. She does need to lose weight, she eats a lot and growls at us at the table. She's a morkie (Maltese/Yorkie)

Our rescue pups Milo and Tango at Christmas. I really don't know what we would do without them. Tango is a yellow lab mix and Milo is some kind of Australian Shepherd mix we think. They keep us laughing everyday.

Oscar (Dach) and Ellie (Chi-Dach). Both were adopted from less than ideal situations. They are my babies!

I sadly don't have any pets right now, but my parents are going out of town this weekend, so I'm petsitting this cutie. Her name is Ruby, she's 1.5 years old, and she's the cuddliest dog I've ever met in my life.

I'm just lurking here like a creep to see all your cuties! My dog passed away about 6 years ago and we're cat people right now, but I miss having a big dumb sweet dog. Love these pics Smiley smile
