Alright is is just me or is Go Fund Me a TAD overused?! FH's cousin recently had her 4th child and has been sharing her go fund me page to help with her maternity leave. I feel like if you couldn't afford the time off of work why did you have ANOTHER child?! Maybe I'm just being a cranky bitch but...

I feel like if you couldn't afford the time off of work why did you have ANOTHER child?! Maybe I'm just being a cranky bitch but if you don't have the funds there ARE ways of not getting pregnant. I told FH we should start a Go Fund Me page to fund the wedding?? Why the hell not?!

Go fund me accounts don't bother me at all. Why? Because I don't donate. I scroll past them so I've wasted no time in reading it. People are adults and can do as they please. I don't get my panties in a bunch over stupid things. Me personally I would be to embarrassed to ask for money but if that's your thing then by all means don't let me stop you.

Do let me ask a question. My husband and I weren't planning on a child and with his and mine medical issues we were told it would never ever happen! Well a miracle happened and we are expecting. We can't believe it and we even gave up on the idea of kids a very long time ago. With everything people pass down and the few things we've bought. We have everything we would need or request on a registry for a baby shower. He gets two week vacation yearly and I get one week. We both took a week vacation in June and surprise... Find out July were expecting. So now he has only one week to take off and I have nothing. We don't get income tax returns...we have to pay. So holding our return for maternity leave is out of the question. We have been toggling with the idea of a maternity account. Not a go fund me. We were thinking since we literally have everything that would be given at a shower...we ask that if they were going to purchase a present the funds however big or small go into our maternity account at the bank so I don't have to go to work the day after I give birth. Do you ladies think that's inappropriate? We are not asking anyone to just give out money because we are lazy or can't afford a child. We're just asking what they would have spent on gifts to go into the account so I can at least have some recovery time and not be putting a one week old child into daycare.
