NWR: changing your sheets

When i lived alone the house cleaner chenged them every other friday and it was easy since i have multiple sets for a queen bed. now that we live together we have one good set ( cant wait to register for a few new sets ) but i notice that i change them more often. i like to shower at night and he does in the morning. he works outside and is rolling on the ground for work and it drives me bonkers he comes home and doesnt shower, just puts comfy shorts on. i even try to make him shower with me at night and have a 25 ish % success rate so i do it more often.

IF WE CHANGED THEM AFTER SEX WE WOULD BE DOING TOO MUCH LAUNDRY, WE WOULD BE BROKE FROM PAYING THE WATER BILL !!!

So I may be a bit strange, but we change them about everyday. i am OCD and will only use a bath towel once too. Or maybe it is because growing up we had a housekeeper and she changed them everyday.

Yeah,the kids sheets get changed more often (about once a week or more if accidents) and ours is usually about every 3 weeks-more if it seems they need it.

I agree with others,I'd rather have sex than do laundry!

Once a week is best. Literally, leaving bedding on longer than that is not a good thing. Same thing with bath towels. I wash my sheets and towels every Wednesday...that way, I remember when to do it, and I do not have to do them on the weekend.

Lol @ mello "we do it all over the house" haha. We probably do it in the bathroom and/or shower more often too.

@Brooklynne, I used to change my towels everyday too. For women, this is more of an issue than men. But I finally decided once a week works.

And you had a housekeeper change your towels daily? F_)#*@) I grew up wealthy, and we did not have such a thing.

Lol,we wash our towels about every other day....My friend says thats gross...She doesn't have 3 kids,guess she has nothing better to do than laundry.lol

Lmao.....when there hard and crusty.....or i can't stand his smell and drull marks on them anymore...j/k

The doctors apparently dont care about all that water usage.

We have a small 1 bedroom with not a lot of storage space so we really only have the one really comfortable sheet set. I just wash them every weekend when I do laundry...sometimes every other week though.

I'm with you Potters! I'm horrible at changing sheets. But EVERY TIME WE HAVE SEX!?!?! WTF!?!?!? I might as well sleep on the mattress... lol

Lol I am totally watching the drs right now too and I was like yea right, after every time???? I usually do it once a week which i think is good, but the info about hotels is kinda gross I mean I knew they were dirty but that was TMI especially if you're planning a trip like a honeymoon.

@ Alexandra, have you ever seen the one about the cruise ships? The went into many different random rooms on random ships with random cruiselines and used a black light, OMG, IT WAS DISGUSTING. There is no way in hell I'd want to sleep there after seeing that. I used to work for Hampton Inn Motel's and we changed just the sheet set, the blanket and comforter were only changed if they were covered in soil or 1 time a month. Seriously.. in a motel once a month, gross.

I used to change mine twice a week but now (I have too much to do lately) I change mine once a week. My God, every time after sex, that's little too much!

@Amber, no I've never seen that one about the cruise ships but I bet it'd make me not want to ever go on a cruise. My SIL works as a housekeeper so I know the comforters aren't washed everytime so since she told me that, everytime I leave a hotel room I put EVERYTHING off of the bed and bundle it and put it in the hallway or by the door that way they might actually wash it and the next person will have a clean bed, yea I always ask for clean sheets and blankets first thing and change them myself, a little OCD but im a germphob (sp?) sometimes

We wash them 2/3 times a week. Our dogs sleep in the bed with us and I skeeve at the hair left behind.

Lol well ideally I would change them once a week but it's been hard to do that when we only have one sheet that doesn't even fit our full size bed... not to mention I've been busy chasing after 1.5 yr old triplets for the last 6 months. (They're FS's mom's and I couldn't get a real job due to immigration problems and she needed the extra hands so she could work)

Every week or so. We only have 2 sets of sheets so there are days that we wouldn't have anything to change them with. Lol I used to do it more often but I have gotten busy. Now that I have more free time it will probably be twice a week again.

I wash ours once every week or two. Extra when our cat sheds all over ours.
