Number of wedding party

I have ten bridesmaids and my fiancé has seven groomsmen. How should I coordinate this? Can a guy walk two girls down the aisle?

Well, I guess that depends on the size of your aisle.

I plan on 4 groups of 3 walking down our aisles. So I plan to make my aisles wide enough to do so.

If I were getting married in a place that had stationary or almost stationary seating (like a church pew) I would have to reconsider my plans.

You could even just have the bridesmaids walk together. I don't think it needs to be an even ratio of groomsmen to bridesmaids walking together

You can consider letting all the men walk first then women then the kids

    Hi there Katherine Smiley smile

    Welcome to the WeddingWire community.

A groomsman can totally walk two bridesmaids down the aisle if the aisle is big enough!

Have you checked out the aisle? Is it wide enough?

Do you have any one escorting your mom/FH mom to their seats?

It's totally ok to have paired bridesmaids, or three people walking down the aisle. Another option, which I saw at the last wedding I went to, is to just have everyone file in in one big line. They had a similarly big wedding party, and I think it was also uneven and had both genders on both sides, so they just all went down the aisle one after another.

You surely can do that. You can also have the last couple of girls walk together, then have the maid of honor walk by herself.

Maybe have a couple of yours just walk in by themselves. That might be nice, or they can walk down your parents?

I have 8 bridesmaids/MOH and my FH has 9 groomsmen/BM. What we are doing is having his best man stand up at the alter with him, then the remaining 8 groomsmen walk down with my MOH/bridesmaids (to make it a perfect 8/8)

I have an odd ratio as well (7 bridesmaids/MOH and my FH has 4 groomsmen/BM) so I am having the guys go up to the alter first and then my bridesmaids walk alone before me. I don't think there is really any set way it has to be, it is whatever you like! On that note, I think a guy can totally walk two girls down the aisle as long as the aisle is wide enough! Of course! We had a guy walk two girls down the aisle and into the reception. They had a fun time!

I would just have everyone walk in by themselves. Have the groomsmen & then the bridesmaids after.

I had more bridesmaids than groomsmen so we had the everyone enter single file for the processional (entering) then for the recessional (leaving the ceremony) each bridesmaid walked with a groomsmen and the last groomsmen walked with 2 bridesmaids. They also entered the reception that way. It looks good, and our groomsmen appreciated walking with 2 girls lol

Here's how I would do it:

    Maid of Honor/Best man

    Bridesmaids #2 /Groomsman #2

    Bridesmaids #3 & #4/Groomsman #3

    Bridesmaids #5/Groomsman #4

    Bridemaids #6 &7/Groomsman #5

    Bridesmaids #8/Groomsman #6

    Bridesmaid #9 & #10/Groomsman #7

Absolutely! I have 5 BMs and my FH has 6 GM. We are having his BM and brother (who is a GM) walk with my MOH and the rest will be matched up one and one.

Maybe all the bridesmaids and groomsmen can walk down the aisle in single file, if that would be something you are open to
