Number of bridesmaids and groomsmen

So we went from four on each side to a possible seven! Yikes. Too me that feels like a lot. What do you guys think? Or how many do you have in your bridal party?! I'd love to know your thoughts and what you're doing! Or how many you have!

We're having a small Bridal party. 4 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen. My dad wants me to add flower girls and a ring bearer as he feels I'm having too small of a BP but FH doesn't want to add kids to the mix (less reliable). Don't feel too bad, many people have more than 8 on each side. It's easy to have a large BP if both of you come from larger families

We will have one on each side. My sister and his brother. I'm very happy with our decision.

We have two each. I don't feel the need to have all of my girlfriends up there with me, just my two closest! And we are having a sweetheart table so the girls and one of the married groomsmen can sit with their spouses during the reception!

We had so much trouble deciding on friends and didn't want to hurt feelings. So we decided on our immediate family - siblings, cousins and the children of extended family. His brother will be best man and my childhood friend will be my MOH. So altogether with the kids will be about 5 on each side. That's more than enough!

We are doing 4 and 4. With us, that brings us to 10 people. A good round number and it still feels like an intimate group. Any more and I would have start to feel overwhelmed and my wallet wouldn't have been happy either.

Good new is there's really no rule Smiley smile My cousin's wedding had 3 best men and no bridesmaids. I'm having my sister as my maid of honor. My fiance will have his brother as best man and I think 4-5 other groomsmen. So only about 7 in the wedding party to process in. But I'm having 24 honorary bridesmaids. They won't be processing. They're all close friends but I don't want the pressure of makeup and dresses and wedding rehearsals, and herding them for pictures for 24 women. So I'm just having a casual pj party photoshoot with simple bouquets and made-up hair and makeup during a bridesmaids party weeks before the wedding day. I'll display our pictures at the reception. The honorary bridesmaids will just wear any dress they like from the wedding colors and I'll be gifting them with a simple diy corsage to wear on the wedding day Smiley smile Whatever makes you happy looking back at your wedding 10 years from now! Smiley smile Just have fun with it.

When we were talking about our wedding party, we kinda had to go back and forth to get a number. I had 3 I for sure had to include. FH had 5. I couldn't add 2 more without adding 3 more on top of the two... We finally came to 8 on each side but I AGONIZED over the idea that it was too many. We finally said screw it!

So far I've loved having so many people involved. I think it's also really important to consider the personalities. All my bridesmaids are very chill and laid back so I don't need to worry about drama, etc. If y'all want 7 on each side, I say go for it!!

We have 3 and 1 junior each! Mine are 2 cousins, fsil, and my best friend. FH are all his siblings, 3 brothers and a sister. Don't fixate on numbers trying to make that part perfect, just ask the people you love the most and want by your side.

Personally, I never liked wedding parties. In my Lebanese culture, the only people in the wedding party (besides the bride and groom) are the best man and the maid of honor. So, that's what I've chosen to do. I don't want too many people in our wedding photos--it's our day! Plus they just add extra stress and drama that I don't want. SO--it's me, my future husband, best man (his brother) and my maid of honor (second cousin since I'm the only girl).

That's how I prefer it, but again, it's YOUR day! You include the people you absolutely have to have beside you that day. I've chosen to include only a BM and MOH but that's my personal preference.

I have a MOH, a junior MOH, and 1 bridesmaid. He has a best man and 2 groomsmen. 1 flower girl, 1 ring bearer. Anymore than that and I would be going insane, well more than I already am lol. Whatever you choose, it's your day, make it however you want and feel comfortable with.

I'll have 1 MOH, 2 bridesmaids, 1 junior bridesmaid, and one junior bridesman. FH will have 1 best man and 3 groomsmen. So in total, we will have 9. No flower girl or ring bearer.
