Rosemary, on August 18, 2020 at 2:03 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 10
Hi Ladies

I am getting married on November 07, 2020. I wanted to know if anyone here is getting married in November or anytime this year? How did you handle your wedding to tp due covid? Did you wear masks or require or will provide masks at the wedding. My wedding will not be a big wedding i will be having about 80 guests. Any suggestions or advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks

We're getting married in The Keys 10/10. We'll provide all our guest with face masks as optional. Currently the county mandates both indoors and out, but are lenient with weddings.

As far as how we handling overall, just taking it day by day, watching the restrictions and planning as our vendor sees fit. Overall, I'm not too worried, we've always had a small guest count (50) and if people cancel because of fear of Covid, we're not upset or concerned.

    Personally.... the smaller the better...

I'm also getting married on 11/07/2020!! Our venue does not require masks but they are optional. I am leaving it up to my guests, if they want to wear them, I will fully support that, but I am also not forcing anyone to wear one. I personally will not be wearing one, and I think it's rude to make other people wear them if I'm not. So I will leave it up to personal preference.... Does your venue or state have a mask mandate or anything like that, that you need to abide by, or is it more up in the air?

CONGRATULATIONS Smiley ring . I was thinking about that myself. I am in CT and here thank goodness it's pretty good we are under 1% even though we still have a lot of people who are really concerned about it. I agree with you i will probably provide my guests with masks to take if they feel like they need to use them. We also don't have a big wedding it's about 80 guests sitting between 6-8 people per table. Have a wonderful wedding!! Enjoy your very special day! Thank you for your advise Smiley smile

I was actually thinking about just getting a couple of boxes of disposable ones from Amazon for the day of, they are inexpensive and will get used even if we have extras after the fact. We have about 150 at our wedding so I feel like custom masks for everyone might be a little more than I'm wanting to spend lol. Smiley xd And SD is pretty much the same at CT as far as guidelines, it's pretty relaxed, but I still want everyone to feel safe and comfortable. And I think the 6-8 per table is a perfect way to go also. Everything will be beautiful I'm sure! Enjoy your big day!! Smiley ring

October in Missouri! We currently have no restrictions in our state or county. We will have personalized hand sanitizers at each table and mask optional plus we will have some available. We invited 135 guest, only expecting 100 or less to actually show up. I honestly think we’ll be lucky if 75 show up. A lot of my fiancé’s side is talking about not coming.

We are November 7th and my state the most restrictions of all US territories. Mask are mandated right now, and, we assume they will be still be required in November. I called our venue and they said they’re still hosting weddings, so we are planning to go ahead. We’ve cut our guest list down, will provide mask and sanitizer, and the tables will be socially distanced. FH is military and almost all of our guest are from out of state, we plan to do a live stream for those family and friends. Our venue is outside so it’ll make it easier to space out those attending more.

November 28th here! We have a limit of 75 guests atm, with 120 invited. (that was our original max) We will be separating the tables as much as possible and keeping family units together. Our favor bags will be handed at the door by our ushers (my brothers) and they will contain a mask, hand sanitizer, and our program, along with a spritz of hand sanitizer as they walk in. Masks will be required. We will have sanitizer bottles on every table. No close contact (ie front hugs, handshakes, kisses) outside of family units, and we will have servers for our buffet and everything will be individually wrapped. We also aren't having dancing which isn't totally bc of COVID but that's what we are blaming it on to save face lmao.

I’m getting married December 5, 2020 in Illinois. Our venue hasn’t said anything about face masks, but we were thinking about ordering matching ones for our bridal party (just black for the guys and a shade to compliment the girls’ dresses). If our guests prefer to wear masks, that’s totally fine with us! We just want everyone to feel safe and have a good time.

I’m getting married Nov. 7, 2020 as well. I honestly cannot wait for the day lol I really tossed and turned about postponing but I really cannot handle this any longer I rather be married and living my life. I do worry about my guest but as of now we have 60 people confirmed but I think some people may drop as time get closer. Which I am absolutely OK with, I actually wanted a small wedding, but you know parents want to include as much extended family as they can. *side eye*
For the ceremony mask are required for guest, it was a requirement by our officiant, which I am absolutely ok with.
I’m having the ceremony and reception in the same room, so that way guest will already be at their tables. Limit the mingling. Buffet style food but the venue servers will plate it. Extra mask and sanitizers, oh the tables will seat either 4 or 6 people.. Good Luck to my fellow November Covid Brides! I wish you all nothing but good health and long, loving, healthy marriages!
