November 2021 Wedding

Kaia, on July 21, 2020 at 2:10 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 11
My fiance and I will be having our wedding toward the end of November 2021 in a small mountain town in Colorado. We keep bouncing between a more fall-esque or winter-esque design and can't seem to settle on one! With it being the Colorado Rockies there absolutely could be snow, but our wedding is just before Thanksgiving which is definitely a fall holiday. What are your thoughts?

You can combine the two and come up with something unique.

I don't know that you really need to choose a season. Colors like navy, burgundy, or emerald would be appropriate for either season.

Sounds beautiful no matter what you choose. My only words of concern would be if it's around the holidays will you maybe get more "no" RSVPs because they will be traveling "home" to be with families and may not be able to do both? (That was actually our reason from shying away from the holidays). And this may only be a concern if you're doing a destination wedding.

Send out save the dates asap.

You could go with either. According to the calendar winter doesn't start till the end of December but it starts to snow many places as early as October. Go with whatever you love.

That was definitely something we considered. We are hoping with the date being the weekend before Thanksgiving and it being in our home state where most of our family already resides or travels back to for the holidays that it will actually make attendance a little easier for those who are out of state (including us!)

We got married the weekend before thanksgiving in NC and we did red and gold. Not for holidays just because we love red and gold. I live in CO and it can certainly snow heavily at that time. A winter theme could be pretty at that time if that’s what you really want. I personally would lean toward fall.

I probably wouldn’t choose a seasonal theme, since it may snow. I would just choose a beautiful color scheme that is appropriate for both seasons. Deep, rich jewel tones would be gorgeous!

We are getting married earlier in November 2021 in Connecticut and there’s a chance there could be snow here too, so I’m not really picking a season to focus on other than possibly putting some pumpkins at the beginning of the aisle. We chose burgundy and blush for our colors, I feel like they’d go well with the fall colors or snow/winter. But you should pick whatever speaks to you more! I know for me, that time of year makes me very excited for Christmas and winter even though it’s still fall.

I love this!! FH proposed on Christmas so I thought it would be super cute to do a nod towards winter/the holiday season, but we also love fall as well. Maybe less focus on the season and just a combo of everything we love will be a happy middle!

I got married 11.25.16 (the day after Thanksgiving). We chose red and navy blue as our colors (my husband is in the Army so we wanted patriotic). It was more fall than winter for sure. I say choose whatever you like more. If you like deeper burgundy, red, green, etc. go with a more winter theme. If you like oranges, yellows, browns, go with fall. It can work no matter what, even if there is snow! Here are some photos from my wedding including my sweetheart table, cake, bridal party and invitations.
