I would pick the Saturday date over Sunday. Get it quick before it’s gone!

If there are no issues with your VIP, then I think you've got your answer! Just make sure to consider if your venue has minimums on anything as guests outside of your VIP may be less inclined to go if they need to travel.

I think saturday is better than sunday as well. If you do pick that date, try to send out save the dates soon. Especially since it's around a holiday. Other than that, happy planning!! The venue is the biggest item on the to do list

Our only out of town guests are the VIPs. His whole family and my sister. His immediate family is good, don't know about the cousins and aunts/ uncles. The rest of my family and friends are all locals. I'm deferring to my FH on the date because I want to make sure he has as many family members and friends there as possible (he only moved here 6 years ago), but he told me to book it! I just wasn't sure if people typically travel the weekend before thanksgiving. I think the schools are still open until Tuesday... so i think we'll be good! And that way we can have an after party if we want! We couldn't do that with a Sunday wedding lol.
(Our venue is in the lodge of a county park and we have to be packed and out of there by 10:30pm) No minimums as we're just renting the lodge space for a set price.

Thanksgiving is a big deal for me and FH but we'd still travel the weekend before so I don't think it'd be an issue
