Nova wedding ceremony and venue 10/10/2020

Hi my fellow brides to be. I’m looking for an affordable venue around Northern Virginia for my wedding ceremony and reception next fall. We’re going for a rustic theme with a touch of natural and casual. I’m expecting 80-100 guests. I was told that Potomac Point Winery is a good venue but they don’t accept outside catering. Has anyone have any idea how much it would cost + their catering? I’d love to hear your suggestions. Thanks in advance!♥️

PS. And also if anyone of you know someone who does photo + video I’d highly appreciate it!☺️

Just a heads up - A LOT of places in NOVA are already booked for 10/10/20. Believe me, we tried. We're doing a rustic wedding too, and we did our venue search in April. We had to move our date to Friday in order to get the venue we wanted (Winery at Bull Run - already booked for 10/10/20 ). I don't know what a large wedding at Potomac Point Winery would cost. We're having an intimate wedding of less than 50 people, and they don't do intimate weddings in October. I do have quotes for other months though. Plus, weddings on Saturdays in general will cost more. Here are some suggestions of places I looked into (honestly can't remember if they were booked on 10/10 or not):
8 Chains North Winery, Harvest House at Lost Creek Winery, Bluemont Vineyards, Stone Tower Winery, 48 Fields.

Wow. Thank you so much Waldy for your suggestions. Another bride who had her wedding at PPW way back 2016 replied to me and said it cost her 14k.😅 That’s way over my budget. Lol. I will look into these venues that you mentioned and hopefully they’re still available on my wedding date. Thank you so much and congratulations!♥️

You're welcome! and congrats to you too! Almost date twins I totally get the budget thing. We're trying to stay under $10K (for 50 people), but with the venue, photography and catering estimate, we're already over. Luckily, I have a cousin who works as a DJ and we're getting wood flowers done from a neighbor back home, so hopefully we don't go too much over. 10k was my budget until I found out that photos and videos costs A LOT. But I found this company that does both and they have a promo if you book this month. I have a DJ friend who’s coming to my wedding so he’ll gladly do it for me. Lol. Thank you for your suggestions. I might message you again though.😂

We wanted to get married at a winery but they were all so expensive. We took the winery theme with us and went with Potomac Shores golf club. It was perfect for us. We had about 60 guests inside but you can have more on the lawn with tents. Effingham Winery is amazing!! Had it been open when we got married, our wedding would have been there.

Even if you don't get married at Effingham, the wines are fabulous and it is a beautiful place to visit!

Hey there - I can't help with the venue as much. After looking at all our favorite spots (many of which listed by PP) and finding out they were equal to 3/4 our budget and then finding out our anticipated dates were already booked, we opted to move the whole thing to NC! Most of the wineries close to and in Loudoun are in the 15-20k range just for the venue. I personally couldn't do it.
As far as photography, there is a local photographer that is up and coming, but takes GORGEOUS shots with limited wedding spots per year. She did our engagement photos. Jennifer Gray Calcagno https://www.jennifergraycalcagno.com/
Luckily I have my cousin who is gifting us deeply discounted photography for our big day, so I couldn't pass him up. My second choice would be her!

As much as I want to move the venue somewhere else a lot of our guest will be coming from overseas so we don’t want to spend extra on the transportation and accommodation. But thanks for the recommendation. I will check it out. Thank you again. Congratulations in advance!♥️

I forgot to make an update. A month after I posted that we saw this new venue 15 mins from where we live. It's called Elegance Estate. I just hope and pray that the situation will get better soon! Wouldn't want to reschedule our 10/10/2020 wedding
