Not your typical wedding hashtag question

For those of you who are having/had hashtags, how did you advertise it? I know people use signs, but did you do anything else? I feel weird posting it on Facebook, especially since I really keep wedding chatter to a minimum there. Did you put it on your website? And how many signs did you have and where did you place them?

Sorry for all the questions, but it would be nice to have guests' wedding pictures easy to find.

    I am making 6 signs. I will put them up for our engagement party on May 30th and then will continue the hashtag for the wedding. I won't announce it, maybe i'll have my closest friends and BMs help start the hashtag so there are pictures there!

    I made a picture that had a "post pictures with #rivalrywedding picture yesterday, so i'll probably post that on instagram the morning of the wedding. I'll make it into a sign, and also considered printing it to be on the other side of our table number pictures. I'll upload it from mobile in my next post

    I plan to have a sign as people enter the ceremony, one or two signs at cocktail hour, and then bring those signs inside for the reception - probably one at the bar for people to see when they wait in line, and one near the dance floor. We have it posted on our wedding website and I'll be asking BMs to use it for the showers and bachelorette party.

    I put it on my website and we are having a little sign at the wedding. I also spread via word of mouth to my friends for things such as the shower and bachelorette party. Also - this was a total unnecessary splurge but I got little beverage napkins in our wedding colors printed out with our date and hash tag!

    I was going to have a sign on the card table, maybe the bar, and the Photobooth table.

    I just started using it. I use it for anything wedding related. My bridal shower had a sign that my MOH made with our hashtag so people knew to use it for shower photos. I use it on Instagram if I post anything regarding the wedding... like a countdown, quote, photo of FH & myself. I also put it in the FYI section on our website.

    ETA: I have a sign that will be on the guest book table. I got it from an Etsy shop: TexasFarmersDaughter

    These are all great ideas. e=mc2, I like your idea of posting it to instagram. And the bar is a great start for sign placement.

    Do you think it'd be okay to put a sign by the escort cards? Or would people be too busy just looking for their names anyway?

    ETA: Marisslee, the guest book table is a great idea! I kind of keep forgetting I'm having a guest book.

    I put it on the programs, our wedding website, and at the bottom of our invite. I'm going to start using it more this week too to get people used to it. I am now going to steal e=mc2's idea though and create something to post on instagram the morning of!

    I have two giant frames. One has the seating chart and the other has our hashtag and timeline info. They will be right beside each other.
