Not using wedding colors for invitations!

I using different colors as well... I think it will keep my guest in suspense

I wouldn't pay attention to the colors not matching. As long as the formality matches the wedding, you're good to go. Meaning don't send a rustic looking invite for a formal event. Don't worry about the colors! Eta: just noticed you mentioned stds and website, not invite. In that case I really wouldn't care about the colors.

I usually pay attention to color on the invite and avoid them at all cost wearing them, so I don't end up matching the bridal party.

No one will remember what the invitations looked like while they are at the wedding.

I used black & white invites. My colors at my wedding are blush, ivory, gold, & navy. I don't think it matters.

My colors are royal blue and gray. My invites are navy blue and blush, I just made sure to tie my rustic theme into the invites.

Our STDs and invites don't match our wedding colors. FH is a geographer, and he loves maps, I find really pretty invites that had kind of a vintage map on them. I loved them, so that is what we used. Our wedding colors are royal, light blue and silver.

I would do your wedding colors. My colors are black and white stripes with accents of purple and gold and my wedding invitations are black gold and white but not stripes they have a different design

Ok so now i know that the invites dont necessarily have to be the same color scheme as the wedding.... i was having no luck finding anything i liked!

I had cream colored invitations and my wedding colors were navy and whatever color you'd say a sunflower was. I mean this in the nicest way but it's not that serious Don't even worry about it. Just pick the invitations that you like that match the formality of your wedding!

My invitations were black and gold but everything else was dark red ...not a big deal. It can work !
