Not hiring florist

I’m trying to cut down on cost. I’m not hiring a florist. I plan on making eucalyptus boutineers/ bouquets, and using Italian Rucus as loose greenery for table decor. Anyone’s else not hiring a florist? The pictures are my inspiration

OMG Stephanie, me too! We are doing things so similar! I already placed my order to FiftyFlowers, and made two large silk arrangements for the church!

I’m doing the same! Lots of greenery and just finding the prettiest bouquet I can find at the local grocery store. Our H-E-B usually has gorgeous flowers and the flowers just aren’t worth it to me to spend an outrageous amount of money on.

I did my own centerpieces with hydrangea for my first wedding. This time around I'm thinking of doing everything with fresh bulk flowers. I'm nervous about the bouts, but I'm pretty sure I can make it work. I'll be using dark purple hydrangea, purple carnations, bi-color orange roses, and hot chocolate mini-callas. Total for 15 tables, 2 bouquets, 3 bouts and 25' of garland is going to be $450.

Thank you! The first one took about 2 hours. Then after we figured out what we were doing, it took about an hour for each additional one.
