I'm not super familiar with the Bay Area, but I would definitely utilize the WeddingWire vendor directory. It has a ton of options that you can filter through by aspects like whether a venue is inside or outside, what additional amenities it has, etc. Most, if not all, of the venues have reviews you can read through by newlyweds that have used them. Plus, some of the venues include their pricing on their page, so that could give you an idea of how your ceremony budget stacks up.

Garden venues in the Bay Area

I've linked you to the garden venues in the directory, but you can change it to park/outdoor venues if you find that none of the garden venues are your cup of tea. Will you be having your reception and ceremony in the same place?

Thank you for the quick response, Maggie! The venue search on this site and similar sites were the first places I looked, yet for small, stripped-down ceremonies, the prices were still quite high.

I'd love any recommendations others have had for small, intimate, budget-friendly venues (preferable redwood or outdoor spaces)!

To your point, our budget is higher if we can have the ceremony and reception in the same place. I'd love to just prop up a couple of tables and have a catered dinner with drinks for everyone.
