Non-traditional Chicagoland Wedding Venues

My fiance and I are looking for a wedding venue for Fall 2021 that's all-in under or around 15-18k (fees, taxes, ceremony, reception space, food and alcohol). We have about 120-135 guests on our list, looking for a wedding venue that's no more than an hour from O'hare as we have a lot of guest who will be flying in. Does anyone have any suggestions for venues that aren't your typical banquet halls -- open to tents or historic buildings. Kind of interested in a possibly a bookstore or library???

Thank you!

Check out the Harold Washington Library. They've got some spaces available but I dont know about the catering and stuff.

    Hi there Shay!

    Welcome to the WeddingWire community

The WeddingWire local venue directory is a brilliant place to search for different venue types in the area - Chicago Wedding Venues.

There are a ton of different venue type to filter by (mansion, winery.barn & farms, garden, boat, museum, historic, banquet, etc). You can also filter by capacity, amenities, etc.

How many guests will you be inviting to the wedding?

We're getting married at the Danada House next July. Beautiful venue and if you're flexible with your date, reasonably priced. But they do book a few years out just so you know!

Acquaviva winery! It’s in maple park, that’s where my fiancé and I are getting married, it’s beautiful 😊

Thank you, these all look gorgeous!!! We've actually decided on our venue, Stella Ballroom in Kenosha. Has that perfect historic feel with all the right amenities.
