How many soon to be brides have non diamond rings? I cant wait to get mine back after it is resized. Show me your rings in the mean time, diamond or not.

I don’t know hoe to upload a picture to here but my ring is a diamond, not real big in size. The stone was my grandmother’s stone from her ring. She passed when my mother was high school and she agreed to let FH & me reset it. I love it!!!
First of all your ring is GORGEOUS! I love it. So unique. Mine is diamond but it was custom made with my great grandmother's jewelry and Im just obsessed.
I don't think I can stop staring at your ring!! I love how it looks almost like a flower!! What made you (or your FS) decide to find an alternative to diamonds?
Thank you! The flower setting is even more pronounced from the side
FH was pretty adamant as soon as we started talking about getting engaged that he really didn't want to get a diamond due to the less-than-ethical practices of the diamond industry (ridiculously artificially inflated prices, purposely restricting supplies, and the history of human abuse). My only condition was that I wanted a real stone We also discovered pretty fast that the big jewelry stores didn't have the unique styles we liked. We were looking at sapphire rings when we discovered white sapphires. Lots of people mistake it for a diamond (which FH likes because the stone is WAY bigger than any diamond we could afford) but their eyes always light up when I tell them it's actually a sapphire
The story of the stones: Opal is my birth stone, Ruby is his... He proposed without a ring and said he has been putting off proposing because he hasn't found the right ring yet. When he gave me this he said it represents our hearts together forever! Our birthstones in an infinity is just amazing symbolism! Also our names are engraved on the sides. He really found the "perfect" ring!
I don't know the exact maker, but it was an Etsy store. All I know is it's a custom jewelry maker in London. FH has reached out to him because we're thinking about having him make a complimentary band for my wedding ring.
