No wedding party...does it matter?

Jasmine , on October 10, 2017 at 11:26 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 27

I don't want to have to choose bridesmaids but I don't want a large wedding party either...so I decided, no wedding party. Just him and me...are we going rogue on this?

Nope! Your wedding, your choice! A BP is not necessary.

Nah, we aren't having a wedding party either and it's making everything so easy! I definitely don't regret it.

No. We aren't having a wedding party either & the closer the wedding gets, the more I'm glad I decided to do it this way. We are kind of to ourselves anyway so it represents us very well.

BP definitely isn't necessary. We had two in ours, but that was because we wanted my two children to stand up with us. (And we never did actually work out which one was supposed to be whose attendant.) If you don't have people that you really want in your BP, it's better to skip it altogether than to just randomly choose people because you think you need to have one.

I was feeling the same way about my wedding with it being only him and I , but at least I know I'm not alone that's a relief. I think you made a good choice makes everything so much smoother

It's perfectly fine. I officiate ceremonies with just the bride and groom all the time. Best wishes!

We are not having a wedding party. It has been nice not worrying about it. It also has been a unexpected way to cut cost, because there are no gifts, flowers, transportation issues, no need for a large rehearsal dinner. I have no regrets about it.

We are not having a bridal party either. It really does simplify things. When I tell people, and they give me a strange look I just say "we are cutting as much drama as we can and a bridal party was the first thing to goSmiley winking" We each chose a witness (my sister and his brother). I am thrilled we are keeping it small and intimate.

We are skipping it as well. Based on all the drama and stress people post about on here, seems like a smart decision Smiley smile

We do not have a wedding party and I do not regret it..the super special people to us will sit up front during the ceremony and we will take some pictures with them as well. It saves so much money and drama.

Less hassle, less drama, less people to coordinate with.
