no groomsmen

What do you do in the event there are no groomsmen? My FH isnt as close to his friends as he used to be, as everyone got older and had families they all grew apart so he doesnt feel comfortable asking anyone. I have my MOH and 3-4 BM. Has anyone seen this and how was it done?

I told him to ask my sisters bf and my cousins husband in the event he doesnt rekindle his friendships and i got the ehhh face lol. as far as the family situation in a nut shell i was told "you will never replace his ex wife" mind you they were divorced a year and a hlaf already before we met, she remarried but they have a kid together so im never good enough Smiley sad ...like i said and others have we have plenty of time so anything is possible...he actually connected with some friends from high school that he hasnt spoken to really in 4 years to let them know we got engaged, originially he didnt think they would come to the wedding and he didnt want to invite them but i told him they dont even know youre engaged i bet if you tell them they will be happy...sure enough they replied with cant wait for the wedding, just wish he would listen more lol

When we moved my mom actually joined a group called 'Newcomers' to meet new people. She played cards and went to luncheons etc... Does he have any hobbies that maybe he can meet new people? My FH likes going to the shooting range and golfing... Of course no pressure, but if he needs ideas and wants to try to get out there again, back in the man date pool haha jk jk, again referring to the movie, if you haven't seen it, it is hilarious :-)

My FH is kind of the same way. But he has gotten pretty close to my sons, ages 32 and 30, so if his sons cannot make it from OOT my boys will walk me down the aisle and then stand with him.

Vanessa R. I think just let it play itself out. We are both Feb 2014 brides! Im having a similar problem. My FI has a HUGE group of friends, but as I told him since day 1 they seem more like your "party" friends, but he insisted otherwise (all his friends are getting married and only one out of 5 have asked him to be in their wedding. I felt so bad for him. It was so sad!) Because of that he is only asking the guys we both agreed are there for the long term no matter what! We had lunch with the guy he wants to ask to be his best man and another potential gm on sunday and he was supposed to ask him then but didn't. he said timing wasn't right. okay so we still have plenty of time. At least these guys live in town and the ones who don't he got the courage to ask. Anywho, I have my whole bridal party picked out and asked! All very excited! He has only asked 2 of his friends (both who live out of town) they immediately replied of course! I told him those guys are keepers! Lol. I also have

Two brothers who will be gm's. I am very close to my brothers and he gets along with them and since it'll be perfect match for my bms it works out. Well, my advice is maybe he'll meet a friend or rekindle an old friendship from now unitl then. Groomsmen don't take long to get fitted (us girls are way more picky about our bms dresses.) so even if he decides last minute I think you'll be fine!
