nj wedding - 11 to 15k for Venue

Ashley, on August 29, 2019 at 10:21 PM Posted in New Jersey Planning 0 11
Hello all, I’m going crazy with this, we have already set up to see The Old Tappan Manor, Il Villaggio and will set up to see The Primavera Regency, The Imperia, The Royal Manor, The Westwood, The Tides and The Elan. (We live in Jersey City so we would travel no more than an hour for a venue).
These all seem like great venues but I want to see if there’s more to consider. Our max to spend of a venue is 11k-15k for 100-110 people for the year 2021, $110-$140 per person this price including the gratuity and sale tax. (we are okay with doing it during off-season months/ Friday evening wedding but we do not want an afternoon wedding.)
Please let me know any options I may be missing out of learning about. (We loved at the popular ones like The Grove, The Madison Hotel, Il tulipano, the Venetian, etc and they are all over budget.)
Many thanks!

Check with smaller golf clubs etc.... we are getting married in march in sussex county and our venue gave us a 7k minimum instead of a per person minimum. its $85 per person for March and we have 2 nights free at their associated hotel. if we do not have enough people RSVP to meet the minimum we can add on additional food items to make up the difference. Im sure other places have similar policies if you look around

    Hi Ashley,
Take a look at Bishop Farmstead. It’s a little more than an hour drive from Jersey City but worth a look. This is a new wedding venue that completed renovations earlier this year. It’s not your typical barn- there’s air conditioning, heating and an elevator. They have a beautiful area outside for the ceremony and a separate inside/outside for cocktail hour with plenty of space for lawn games. The food from our tasting was absolutely delicious. We are very excited to be getting married there. Good luck with your search!

    Ramsey golf club

We were quoted for 130$ for a Saturday. Mike there is literally the greatest. I went with another venue because I didn't really want a country club reception. My mom asked me to go, and I was really really pleasantly surprised with how wonderful it was. They will do all your cocktail hour flowers for you, ceremony on site. We didn't have a car and were staying in Jersey City (out of town, looking to get married where we grew up), and you can walk from the Ramsey train station (do not go to Ramsey 17! it's a different station).

Our venue is The Falls, located in Little Falls, NJ. It’s owned by Frungillo Caterers. We are getting married on a Sunday in November for $79 per person.

I just had my wedding at the Ramsey Golf and Country Club! They have a beautiful outdoor ceremony space and the indoor reception or backup ceremony space is part atrium with all glass ceiling.

Im getting married at the tides in april. The venue is gorgeous and the outside is beautiful. For a friday night its 80 pp with tax, maitre d, and tip about 100pp total cost. He wanted a minimum of 100 guests however. There are 2 rooms. The main room and manchester room. We went with the manchester room as the main room was a minimum of 150 guests and we didnt have that many. I also asked if he would honor this price on good friday which was in april and not exactly non peak season and he did. That was a huge help as my office is closed and so is school so many people have the day off. I would also recommend checking out richfield regency in verona. Place is beautiful and she was about 85pp for a friday night. That venue was my second choice. The elan, villagio, and westwood were all ok but they were a little bit more money. Dont get sticker shocked with the prices you see online. They will work with you and lower down if you have the gift of gab. The terrace in paramus is beautiful but very pricey. The tides also threw in the ceremony, uplighting, and viennese table in the cost. Worth a shot

David's Country Inn! It is gorgeous, completely in your budget, and comes with floral centerpieces, cake from Palermo's Bakery, AND a wedding coordinator!

I loved the imperial when i went but was a close second to the venue we selected. But try the marigold (5 min from the imperial), waterside restaurant or the grand marquis
