Nitty Gritty Checklist? EDIT: Thanks KELSEY!

MrsBobby, on March 17, 2017 at 1:54 PM Posted in Planning 0 22

So I know WW and other sites have overall wedding checklists with a timeline of most of the big stuff. Does anyone have a checklist of nitty gritty details? ie: cake topper, decorations for sweetheart table etc. Those are things I have seen forums on and without them, I wouldn't remember the small details. I am wondering what else I am forgetting and know that a checklist of small details would be helpful.

EDIT: Click file then make a copy. Thanks Kelsey!

I just made myself one in order to budget in my NOTES on my phone. A lot of the conversations on here have helped me add to it.. like "shit I forgot stamps"..

I use the wedding wire checklist and added in a ton of custom items. It still gives me a heart attack every time I see overdue items though!

Ugh! I had this question too and I asked a friend and she told me I was overthinking things. I have Googled them on Pinterest and stuff but nothing has been "perfect". I guess customizing the WW one is a good idea, @rose!!!

Please remember to bring your marriage license to your ceremony venue (I've had couples forget). I also recommend you keep all your copies of legal paperwork in a binder. Once everything is signed your officiant will take and file your original license. All other paperwork should be secured in your bridal suite or any other area away from drinks, food or risk of loss. Best wishes!

I've been thinking the same! I got all the big stuff done no problem. I've been keeping kind of a running checklist in a notebook as I think of things.

My list for the day of: License, rings, card box, guest book, guest escort cards, table numbers, misc decor (a couple framed photos and thank you sign), cake topper. The coordinator will set these things out, and everything else is managed by vendors. Also ordering food for the bride/groom getting ready groups. (eta autocorrect)

I'm a psycho planner and made myself a color coded spreadsheet of ALL the things I'll need for the wedding and what we're spending. I doubt I've got everything, since my wedding is still 6 months away, but I think it's a good start.

You can click on "file" and then "make a copy" and then delete all my info:

I started on The Knot but did not like the fact that I could not customize the checklist so I copied it into the one on WW and have been adding to it since. This way FH and I can both see it.

I kept adding things into the WW checklist. I looked through my Pinterest at all the things I wanted when I first started planning and just kept adding boxes. Total heart attack, but it does keep me in check!

    Some things to remember...

    Veil

    Hairpiece

    Shoes

    Undergarments

    Thank yous

Stamps- STD, invites, RSVP envelopes, thank yous

Paper plate for ribbons from shower for rehearsal bouquet (if applicable)

    Centerpieces

    Card box

    Guest book

    Guest book pen

Signs- bar, menu, any thing else that needs explained (honestly the less signs the better imo)

Jewelry for you and your BM's

Parent gifts (my biggest pain right now)

    Champagne flutes

    Cake cutting set

    Copies of all contracts

    Envelopes for tips

Unity candle or other unity items

    Ring pillow/container

    Flower girl basket

    Passports

    Wedding night bag

    Kids activities

Okay this is all I can think of off the top of my head, and I feel like almost everything could say "if applicable" at the end lol so pick and choose what you need and what helps! Good luck!
