Night Before The Wedding

Ok, so this is actually to discuss a tradition but that wasn't a group choice so I figured Family and Relationships might be the closest.

We have our venue for the wedding weekend. They have little rooms to stay in there. The "honeymoon suite " is the last in the group and has two rooms, with a bed in one and couch in the other. I'm semitradtional so I had mentioned to FH that it would be perfect because we can each stay in a different room the night before the wedding. Now we've lived together for almost two years now. So the not sleeping together until marriage thing is out. But I do like the tradition of not sleeping together the night before. He was baffled by it. I still think he'll do it, though, lol..

But coming to the question of this post. How many of ya'll are honoring this tradition?

We are not moving in together until after the wedding, and will be upholding the staying apart the night before tradition.

We will be sleeping apart. He says the first time he sees me the next day will be when I am coming down the aisle. He is super traditional so I will be hanging with my girls at the hotel and he will be hanging with the guys at our house. He travels a lot for work so it will not be out of the normal for us to sleep apart. Don't get me wrong we like sleeping together much better, but I am ok with sleeping away from him that night.

He wants to stay apart and does not want to see me until I walk down the aisle. So now I have to work that out some how. Maybe I will do the same get a room where our guests are staying and have him stay there the night before because I have way too much family members from out of town that would need my help :/ I think it is a cute idea. We also have lived together for 5.5 yrs. but I see how he would want to do some traditional/special things for our special day.

We haven't decided but we aren't very traditional at all. We've been living together for a few years now anyway. Personally, I'd like to spend the night and a bit of the morning (some cuddling, some breakfast) together before we go get ready. We're a team, you know?
Also, I won't have my dogs to snuggle, so I better have someone!!

We're going to be spending the night before apart. All my girls will be joining me at the AirBnB that we got for us that night, and he'll be staying with his family. After the wedding we'll stay at that same AirBnB and the girls will disperse to their own places.

We will be getting married the weekend of our 10 year anniversary and have been living together for 6 of them. while i couldn't care less either way i think my fiance would rather us stay together since it's not a big deal that we've been together for so long. we'll definitely get ready in separate rooms but i'm sure our families will have something to say about us staying together the night before lol

We are sleeping separate since me and FH do not live together anyway. I think the tradition is cool because it gives you some alone time to really be in bliss of the day to come. I know I am going to be too anxious and excited to sleep so if we did sleep together the night before I know I would keep him up all night LOL.

I've lived with FH for the last 4 years or so. We are spending the night apart. I'll be with my girls in a hotel, and he will be at one of his friend's houses.

We’ve lived together for almost a year now (over a year by the time of our wedding. I’m staying at the hotel above our venue the night before the wedding with a few of my bridesmaids (or possibly alone, I haven’t decided yet and am leaning towards a night of peace and quiet lol). He’ll stay at our apartment since someone will have to feed our cats anyways. Then the night after the wedding we’ll stay at the hotel. I guess we’re somewhat traditional, that’s how I always pictured my wedding I guess. We won’t see each other from after the rehearsal dinner until our first look.

We are going to be separate the night before. We have a hotel room across the street from our venue so we can set up the morning of. However, one of his groomsmen offered to help set up with FH so the girls can get ready so they are going to stay there the night before.

My future husband got me a hotel room after 17 years of living together we slept separate last night. We have to keep some mystery alive.

I'm sticking to it. lol My mom got a block of hotel rooms fot guest and i think my bridesmaids want to do something the night before so it might happen by default because we'll get a room. He doesn't really wanna do it but i think it'd be nice to do it. so most likely we will lol

We are. We have a cabin with our friends its a 9 bedroom cabin and I will be staying in our room (as its the largest and next morning girls will be in there starting on hair and makeup) and he will be crashing with one of the guys on the top floor.

We are! We have the room for the weekend and I made him get a completely different room for the night lol. It works because my sister will stay with me and then she will stay in that room the second night but idk something about that tradition I don’t know if I could break 😂. We have also lived together for about 3 years.

I've lived with my FH for three years now. But the night before the wedding, I am staying in a hotel room with my three bridesmaids and he will be staying in another hotel room with his 3 groomsmen in the same area. Then for the night of our wedding, we will be staying in our own suite at the hotel. We did debate on skipping this tradition, for the fact that we have been with each other already. But in the end wethought it would be a fun night with our bridal party and an interesting tradition to follow.
