Night before the wedding if you already live together

A.Magill.Since.May, on March 25, 2017 at 12:36 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 65

On mobile; Couldn't Search. If you already live with your FS, what are your plans for right before the wedding?? We want to do the traditional superstitious thing of not seeing each other on the wedding day before the ceremony. My family & friends will have just come into town. I'm toying with the idea of both of us leaving the Rehearsal dinner with our respective family/ bridal party to bond and stay with them, but FH and I both sleep badly apart. Also: is anyone planning on abstaining for any period of time before the wedding? I've heard you shouldn't have sex the night before the wedding (other than tradition, Idk why), or even for a week or weeks. What do you think? What's your plan? ETA:words are hard

I got 2 nights at a bed and breakfast so I'll be gone the night before and we'll have a nice night of the wedding! Definitely wanted to do that tradition. As far as your sleeping, I feel like sleep won't be a thing the night before the wedding no matter how you 2 go about it. The excitement and nerves will take over.

We are staying together the night before at home. My hair and makeup with all the girls is starting at 12 so he will probably leave at 1130 to go up the street to this parents house where him and GMs are getting ready. I don't know if we will have sex the night or week before because we don't plan that stuff but I will probably want to the morning of to calm down and relax.

He is staying at our house and I am staying with my MOH; we have a house we rented for the weekend that we are getting ready in. He will get ready with his guys at my fathers house (down the block). I won't see him until the ceremony; on our wedding night, we are getting a room at a gorgeous hotel together.

We are having a rehearsal dinner with friends and family, and then going home to watch movies and be together. We've lived together for 8 years. No chance we are spending the night before our wedding without each other.

Our venue is about 45 minutes from our apartment. So I think we will have separate rooms at a hotel for the night before. I'll probably ask my sister, who is my bridesmaid, to sleep in the room with me the night before. it helps build up to the big reveal at the ceremony or even if you're doing a first look.

I'll be spending the night with some friends who are in town for the wedding at my hotel room. FH will be staying at the house his brothers rented for the wedding. I won't see FH until I walk down the aisle.

The hotel we are getting married at gives us 2 complimentary nights, so I'll be staying there the night before.

Also, I have no idea where you heard that you shouldn't have sex the night before the wedding. That's from the same book as you shouldn't see your FH the night before or the day of. it's childish.

We've been living with each other for 4 years. We will be staying in two different hotel rooms the night before and we are probably going to wait a week or so for sex... Because whenever we do it's amazing.lol

Stay in separate rooms. It's just one night and an old tradition.

FH and I are abstaining until the wedding but currently live together. We are still tossing this idea around too. I'm thinking of spending the night apart. I'll stay with my daughter (8) and he'll stay with his brother.

@AdiosArnold you're abstaining for the next 14 months for the wedding? May I ask why?
