When you’re ready, these are your first big decisions to make with your honey-bunny: 1) budget, 2) estimated guest list, 3) venue.

Congratulations...first thing is a date that will enable to have time to plan and pay off as much as you can. Then I would do a guest list of people that are actually part of your life not just titles (aunts, uncles, cousins, coworkers, etc). Then price venues to see what your possible budget could be based on the amount of people you want. Then price vendors like dj, photographer, planner, cake, catering if its not part of your venue, then add dress, hair/makeup, accessories, grooms attire, wedding bands, invitations, engagement pictures, favors, decorations, bouquets and flowers. Then set a budget for your honeymoon based on where you might want to go. Research before making decisions. And don't minimize your vision, weddings can be beautifully done on a budget.

Congrats! Looks beautiful! First, definitely set a budget of the amount of money you want to spend. That will determine your guest size (big small or elopement). Also dont be afraid to do DIY, utilize dollar tree & amazon. Our wedding cake came from shoprite. Our catering was from a local soul food restaurant in town.

We started with choosing our date first and then went right into determining about how many people and a budget. We always wanted a smaller wedding and we are paying cash for it so, so having a 18 months to plan and prepare was perfect for us.
