Hello beautiful brides to be or already beautiful brides! I’m newly engaged & absolutely struggling to figure out where to start on planning my wedding! Any tips on how to or what to do is helpful. Unfortunately this app isn’t too helpful for me!

Congratulations! The first two things you and your fiancé will want to do are discuss budget and create a guest list then you can start looking for venues. Venues/caterers generally charge per person hence why I recommend knowing how many people you will be inviting so that you don't go over budget. It is also a good idea to create a guest list in advance to make sure that your venue is large enough to accommodate the number of people you plan on inviting. Some venues also have guest list minimums or food/beverage limits. I would also recommend purchasing a wedding planning book. When we got engaged my mom got me The Knot wedding planning book. I found it very helpful. I also watched YouTube videos that were created by a wedding planner by the name of Jamie Wolfer. Since we got married she has released a wedding planning program you can purchase where she will walk you through the wedding planning process. If you don't want to purchase that program she has tons of free videos that are very helpful. Below I've linked The Knot wedding planning book my mom gave me and Jamie Wolfer's YouTube channel.

Hi! Congratulations!!! Im pretty much done with wedding planning. Here’s my two cents:
I think the MOST important thing to 100% absolutely figure out is the budget.
Who’s paying for the wedding? Do you have the money if you are? Always remember, no matter what your budget is, always be ready to go over it. Do NOT book something if you don’t think you can get the money for it. That’s a dangerous move to make.
2nd thing: despite what people say, choose a VENUE first before the date. If you set your heart on a date then look for venues, they may be booked. So focus on a dream venue (budget pending) and see what they have available and go on from there to choose a date.
Finally: This is YOUR and your future spouse’s day. Do not let ANYONE push you to do something you don’t want. Don’t let anyone sway your opinion or have you second guessing your choices. Do what YOU TWO want and ignore what people say or give you their opinion in their opinion does not matter.
It’s going to a fun but stressful process, but it will all be worth it in the end!
Enjoy it! We’re always here to help and listen, so ask, rant, or vent away if you ever need!
