Hi there...getting married on the 1st of December in central park (coming from Scotland) I have my wedding dress and a shrug to wear as I know it's going to be very cold, just wondering if anyone has any advice about Footwear? Is it unrealistic to wear heels? Thanks in advance

Always get so excited when I see other Uk brides on here, especially fellow Scots.

It's not for everyone BUT you could try looking into Doc Martens. Their local shop had some gorgeous white embroidered ones last winter (I dunno if it was just Edinburgh or elsewhere) - they're my staple for comfy winter boots that don't look bulky as hell. If you need extra grip - the snap on rubber stud...things you can get in the supermarkets round winter time should help.

For cold, maybe some long wool socks (Primark did some pretty over the knee cream socks with a lace top band last year, might be able to find them on the high street again this year)

Winters in New York can be BRUTALLY cold! I would recommend some type of warm boots like Uggs, they make special wedding Uggs and they really help keep your feet so warm. Make sure you bundle up if it's going to be outside in Central Park and tell your guests to bundle up too! It stays around 32 degrees ferenheit in New York that time of year! Best of luck!
