New Years Eve Wedding - Midnight

Erin, on April 5, 2020 at 9:39 AM Posted in Planning 0 6

We've moved our wedding to New Years Eve, but I'm stuck on what we can do at midnight to make it special for everyone. Ideally not too expensive and not too big of a mess, but I see champagne passed around just before and a countdown - but has anyone seen anything special or maybe unexpected happen at a NYE party to celebrate the occasion We're in a cold climate so we'll be inside by the way! Thanks for any ideas you have to share Smiley smile

I’ve seen ideas on Pinterest like a balloon of confetti drop at midnight!

Will you have party favors? because maybe you can make those some sort of theme for NYE.

When was your original date? Sorry you had to postpone- but I LOVE this idea! My fiance and I are currently scheduled to get married on 6/12/20 and are considering postponing and doing the same thing.

What about wands with ribbons on them? Personalized champagne glasses. It instead of having your name, maybe just an engraved heart and the date? (Sorry I wouldn’t want to keep ones with your names on them? Wine charms that Could be more personalized for you?

I was at a NYE wedding this year, and it was so much fun! They had masks / glasses & cardboard hats and blowers for the guests, the DJ broadcasted the countdown and even projected it on a screen, they had a decent view of the fireworks. It was lovely!
