Beginner June 2020

New backup wedding date

Hey brides!! So our wedding date is June 28, 2020. Our venue is asking we pick a potential backup date. Our photographer has Sept 20 and Aug 30 still open — my question to you lovely ladies!! Assuming all vendors will be available (it’s a Sunday and most are), which of these dates which you recommend for a New England wedding? It’s indoors so it should be fine weather-wise either way. In all honesty we wanted an August/September wedding but went for June because the venue was so much cheaper and she’s offering to honor the June pricing for whatever other Sunday we’d like to select (benefit of a Sunday wedding for sure).

We had to postpone our wedding and we were given end of Aug and end of Sept....we chose end of August

YIKES so just realized one of my FH’s good friends is getting married the day before our ideal September date- which, because of all the friends in town, rehearsal dinner etc, we wouldn’t be able to go to their wedding! They’d MAYBE be able to make it to ours. Does that make it clearly we should do the August date instead? Our photog is only available those 2 days! Ugh!! Would love your thoughts

I don't think August is a bad #2 option. This situation is already stressful, and I'm so sorry that it is! ❤ in that case, to avoid just any extra pressure, it might be better to snag the August date.

We have the same wedding date! MY venue hasn't said anything to us yet about getting back up dates. I would go with August, if choosing between August and September.

This might sound silly but.... Do you have to keep your same photographer? (Just checking to see if you could have more date options). But if you have to keep your current photographers, then yes... the August date is better than conflicting with your friend’s wedding. It would kind of suck if you switched your day to September and they attended your wedding, but you don’t attend theirs.
