I don't think it's weird. I was moh for my best friend a couple years back her Hs BM was his brother who was seven. We did the processional together.

My father walked me down the aisle, but one of my favorite pictures from our day is DH, myself and my two nephews together. It's a beautiful thing to see the important kids in my life accept my new husband as part of the family.
