Needing help to find the designer of this dress

I did some searching- the earliest I can find the photos are on the Facebook page of a Georgian (the country) clothing store back in August of 2021. (https://www.facebook.com/GeAtelier28/photos/6359147897443866)

My best guess would be that this company does custom clothes, (based on some of the reviews this seems to be the case) and I assume this was a custom piece that they did. All of the other photos trace back to similar pages. I did find this dress (https://www.farfetch.com/za/shopping/women/olympiah-estrelada-long-sleeves-dress-item-16159937.aspx) that has some similarities, but in this case your best bet might be to find a seamstress who could make you something like it. The design isn't overly complicated, and less fabric than a full length gown will probably make it a little cheaper. But it probably isn’t available anymore if it was. I agree, best bet is probably to get it made so I’ll look around for a dress maker. Thanks again 🙏

It’s a beautiful dress! Would you be open to purchasing a similar style just for trying on purposes and then returning?


I just worry that you might love the look of the dress but once you have it on you realize it’s not flattering or you don’t like the way you look in it.

If you still love it, then I would definitely take your idea to a dress maker.

This happened to me a few times. For example, I wanted a poofy tulle tea length skirt for my bridal shower for a year and a half. I finally bought one and had to return it immediately, it just wasn’t me.

This gown looks couture. I am not sure if the designer but when I saw it I thought Oscar De La Renta.

View Quoted Comment Good point. Sometimes you just don’t know until you try something on. Unfortunately I haven’t seen anything like this in a store to try on or buy. But I do have some pattern making skills and my fiancé is a tailor so I think we can put our heads together and come up with a toile/fitting to see how it feels. I just wish I knew who made it!
