Need to find lace that matches dress to make sleeves!

Hello!

I found my dream dress! The only thing it is missing are sleeves! My seamstress is going to add them after my dress comes in. In this meantime, I need to find lace that matches my dress. It does not have to be exact, however, I want it to go with it well. Does anyone know anything about lace/where to find some that looks like this?

That is gorgeous ! The shop wouldn’t be able to direct you on if they have any sleeves thatre attachable that can match it ?

Thank you! They told me if they got the exact lace from the designer it would be an extra $120 per yard! I am hoping to find a more affordable option.

I don't believe they do. They told me to look at Joann's or etsy. I am just having a hard time matching it. I think I have been looking at it too long! lol

Can you do mostly sheer with the appliqué (one similar)? I think the dress is perfect the way it is. Gorgeous!

You could also do something sheer and buy one yard of the lace to add on for the exact appliqué, if you wanted it to be exact.

I’m adding sleeves to my dress and just ordered an extra yard of the fabric of the dress when I ordered the dress. I think that Is your best option for matching. I was told a yard is plenty of fabric for two sleeves.

A yard is way more than enough for sleeves (unless you want extremely poofy sleeves). If you can afford the yard of fabric I would definitely do that.

I would much rather have lace that matches personally. As Julie said, you should only need a yard for sleeves. Check with your seamstress though to see if that is a good option.
