Sorry in advance for the long post!
I am meeting with my DJ next week and he asked that I have a list of song specifics when I come. (Basically songs for specific parts of the ceremony/reception) I had NO idea how many songs actually go into a wedding!
So, I'm coming to you, my fellow bride and grooms, to ask you for your suggestions and opinions!!
These are the songs I need help choosing!
~5 Years of Happiness (Basically, the idea is that every person on the floor represents 5 years of wedded bliss for the newly married couple! So we want something upbeat to get everyone on the floor! This will also open up the dance floor.)
~Cake Cutting
~Garter Toss/Bouquet Toss
~Bride and Groom Exit
FOR SOME BACKSTORY! FH and I have been together for almost 5 years. We will be having a UFC themed wedding this December! FH is Colombian, so any Spanish or bilingual songs are welcome!!
These are some song choices for the reception that we have so far! Maybe it'll help influence your decision!
*Bridal Party Entrance: Thunderstruck by AC/DC
*First Dance: Stand by Me by Prince Royce
*Father/Daughter Dance: Kayleigh by Marillion (Instrumental Version) ((This is super special because this is the song that my dad named me after.)
*Mother/Son Dance: Mi Hijo y Yo by Grupo Niche
Anything that you can suggest would be great!! I haven't even started to tackle the ceremony yet, but maybe your suggestions will help spark something!!
Thank you in advance!!
