Need Some Help / Advice

Savannah, on October 2, 2024 at 1:01 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
So I am afraid to wedding dress shop because of my bust size I kinda feel like I might as well do research in advance before even going into a store so I don’t deal with any disappointment iv been used to this feeling since high school with finding a prom dress my cup size is a 38J sometimes a 38I depending on the style of bra but from my waist to my legs it’s way smaller so I wanted to ask if there’s anyone here who is similar to me and what should I do like what dress style would would best for me because I don’t wanna be like feeling spilled over too much where I feel like I might as well be topless🤣 or feeling like I’m shoved in and can’t breathe🤣 or having extra material where I look more bigger everywhere else when I don’t all because of my bust size 😕 but anyways thank you so much in advance

The beautiful thing about a wedding dress is they’re fit to you. So it doesn’t matter if the standard size doesn’t fit both because you’ll be able to adjust it exactly!

You might check into some custom made dresses since the dress would otherwise be sized for your bust but have to be tailored to fit elsewhere. Try bing.com copilot to check for custom dress services or check etsy or other sites for some nearby seamstress/designers. Have you figured out some details of the dress you think would work well?

If you will be going to a traditional wedding dress shop/salon/boutique, the staff there should be very helpful! They are knowledgeable about which types of dress styles compliment different body types, and what is possible alterations-wise to make a dress best fit your body. There's certainly nothing wrong with doing research beforehand, but I think you'll get a lot of value from telling the person helping you at the dress store that you are looking for a dress that works well with a large bust while also flattering your figure.

Depending on where you are, there are some shops that cater to fuller figured ladies. And like some of the other ladies, the dresses are made for you. The alterations are done to fit your body and no one else's. A good bridal shop knows the goal is to make you feel awesome and they should do their best to find you something you love. If they don't make you the center of attention then that isn't the shop you should be in .
