NEED MAJOR HELP WITH VENUE!!!!!! SOUTH Florida $5000 budget

Melissa, on January 4, 2014 at 12:24 AM Posted in Planning 0 18

SO I and getting married early August, and I still do not have a venue. I have one venue available for back up (Royal Fiesta), and although it gives me all that I need with my budget, it is not really what I was thinking of for my wedding day,

I would like a venue that has both an outdoor and indoor area. I really have always imagined an outside wedding, but because of the August weather in south Florida I would like to have the reception indoors. Or, I would like a venue that has a lot of windows to see outside, that has a nice view. My budget is $5000 (including food) and I will be having 85 people attend.

If anyone out there knows any venue that fits this, that is extremely affordable, please contact me. I need to find a venue soon...

If you're willing to go north of West Palm, the Jupiter Civic Center is cheap to rent out. It's a pretty nice, rustic building right on the beach with a deck

Have a look at parks with gazebos, or churches with large annex/activity halls. and consider an afternoon ceremony with appetizers instead of a huge meal

    Hi Melissa,

I assume you're somewhere in Broward, given that you're considering Royal Fiesta, so here are my top two choices (I'm in Broward too).

You should check out this place in Pompano, called Galuppi's. It's a big reception hall setting, that has a restaurant/bar attached to it (indoors), and the whole building is surrounded by windows, and it's right on a BEAUTIFUL golf course. The Director of Catering's name is Cecelia, if I remember correctly. Check it out.

Also, this is another venue that I got a pretty competitive quote for. They're a beautiful venue as well, right on a golf course (awesome wedding site outside on the course), and they have a massive two-floor reception hall. These guys are in Boca Raton, and they're named Boca Dunes. If you decide to call them, ask for either Tracy or Erin. They were both really nice to me.

Here are some reasonably priced options I checked out in South Florida:

Matheson Hammock Park - you could have the ceremony outdoors and the reception at the restaurant.

Cauley Square - it's very pretty and they have different options

Casa Reta - it's a home in Broward. You just pay the venue rental fee and the rest you plan out yourself (you don't need to use specific vendors) It has indoor/outdoor options.

Another option is a backyard wedding if you have a decent sized backyard. You could have the ceremony outdoors and bring guests in for the reception.

Hi Farah, I chose the Benvenuto in Boynton Beach. If you probe enough, and are very frank about your budget, there are some budget friendly options.

I would have suggested where I am getting married but we're date twins and my venue is booked for that day. LOL!

Nicole above suggested Cauley Square. I would advise against them. I have heard horror story after horror story about that place. Apparently the staff is awful and lazy.

Hi Melissa, you and I have the same budget and amount of guests (roughly 85ppl). I checked out benvenutos today and am curious about the budget friendly options you were given. I was quite frank about what we could afford but I didn't see much "option" lol! It seemed very, "take it or leave it". The only thing we were offered was to cut down the guest list to a price we could afford. Did you have to cut your list or do they offer some super secret package for us "budget brides" that they dont advertise? hahaha

Hi KLee! I did cut my guest list down (65 people), but I believe the venue in it of itself would have still priced under 5k. I do know they raised there prices right after ( and I mean RIGHT after) I booked the venue. For the package I receive, I believe that that same package is now $20-$30 more per person, not including the service fee and tax. That may be the difference ( which in overall pricing, would make a big difference).
