Need ideas

Sarah, on October 19, 2019 at 10:43 PM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 10
So I found out today my wedding falls on my aunts birthday who passed away in 2015. Since I love and miss my aunt, I would love to do a little something to celebrate her heavenly birthday, along with my wedding day. Does anyone have any suggestions?

That is a good idea. I was thinking about doing a cake. I know her favorite color was pink, so I was thinking maybe tying a pink balloon to one of the chairs.

If you are having a printed program, I have seen mentions or small tributes of “those who cannot join us today” etc

I know I have seen people doing a tribute table. I don’t know if I want to do something like that or not. I asked her daughter/my cousin on ideas.

I’m doing an open seat with no flame candles and flowers for my aunt and father who passed away the same week 7 years ago and my FH’s father who passed away that same year.

That is a good idea. I might do something like that. I am thinking maybe having a picture of her on the cake table with a cupcake in front of the picture that has happy heavenly birthday wrote on it.

A family friend had a small memory table at her wedding dedicated to hers and the grooms late relatives by putting framed pictures of them. I thought it was a beautiful idea

My daughter is doing the same thing, a remembrance table for grandparents that have passed on. Between my daughter and her fiance, they have 5 grandparents that have passed. There will be a framed picture of each along with a large glass bowl and 5 floating candles on the table.

You could release some Doves or Butterflies in memories of your Aunt

They sell memory bases and you can have her name engraved on the vase
