HELP! I am desperately seeking an alternate idea for a mother/son dance. Our wedding is a week from today and this past week my FMIL had a fall and broke her wrist as well as 2 bones in her leg. She is in her 70's and this is her first child to marry, and she has been looking forward to this dance for a long time. She will be in a wheelchair for the wedding but does not want to do any sort of "dance" in a wheelchair. I know she is super disappointed not to have this moment with her son so I have been trying to come up with something meaningful to do instead . I was thinking maybe the DJ could says a few words to explain while my fiancé brings her a bouquet of flowers. He is not the overly sentimental type, nor does he like speaking in public, so I doubt I will get him to make a little speech to his mom. Anyway, that's all I can come up with. Any other creative minds have an idea of something to replace the dance??
