Need honest opinions

I purchased this dress a while back and thought I loved it at the time. I have been pretty on the fence about it for a few months now. I just purchased my veil a few days ago and I do think it makes the dress look a lot better but I am still unsure about it. What does everyone think?

That’s exactly what I don’t like about the dress. The waist really bothers me. Do you think theirs a way for the waist to be fixed?

Thank you, Ashley. I like everything about the dress except for the waist. It just looks odd to me.

I think you could try a beaded belt/ribbon first. Something a couple inches wide at least. Next option you could take to a seamstress and have bodice taken up a couple inches. I wouldn’t go through a bridal shop tho it’s so expensive for simple alterations at those places.

OR try a 3-4” wide satin sash so it creates a new waistline seam and can tie easily. No sewing.

I really hate the waist on the dress. It’s super short. I feel like it should be longer in that area

Exactly! I hate the waist and thinks it looks really odd. I feel like it should be way longer than what it is. The reason I’m hesitate on getting a new dress is because the place I bought it from is no longer open. Plus they never allowed exchanges to begin with 😭

Its a beautiful dress. Dont get me wrong i love the dress but i do feel like you need something more Wow .You have a really nice figure and your a beautiful girl. I say try on more dresses. I know people say add a belt but im personally not a fan of belts big no no in my book. You are on the fence because u dont love the dress. When you find the perfect dress its a diffrent feeling. Do not settle for “oh maybe when i get dressed up and dolled up it will look better” No babygirl this is a once in a lifetime thing Go with your Gut!

For your dress, its all about how you feel in it. If you dont absolutely love it then dont get it. If you dont feel yourself in it dont get it. The dress is all about you. When i went dress hunting, i went to multiple shops and tried on multiple dresses. There was one dress i was on the fence about and i didnt get it, granted i was happy in it but when i tried it on after the 3rd time, i wasnt feeling it. Not too long after i saw a dress in a shop i fell in love with, and no matter how many times i put it on i loved it. I got married in that dress. I was backwards in the buying process i bought my shoes and my veil before my dress but i fell in love with those things when i had them on and in the end everything came together.
So just remember, your day, your dress, its all about u.

    Love the two together!

I was on the fence too but trust your gut. With accessories, hair & makeup you’ll be so happy.

Oooooh that sucks. Now that I look at it again as the material and style is slightly similar to mine I would add a rhinestone belt with some bling to make it pop just a bit. Something like this.

You look gorgeous! It’s your day and you should feel your prettiest/most confident so maybe try accessorizing it to glam it up a bit more.

Check some cheaper bridal stores in your area or look online. I will say the bad thing about online from personal experience is there are different shades of ivory so you do not know if you have the correct color or how the belt will look in person. I was recommended to go to a place I was considering getting my dress from and luckily ended up with a $25 sash. The one at David's Bridal was $129 on sale lol. Not for something I won't wear again.
