Need Help

Megan, on February 28, 2021 at 2:18 PM Posted in New York Planning 0 6

I live in Florida and getting married in New York. Trying to figure out the COVID restrictions is driving me insane. I don't fully understand what it is I am to tell my guests because I don't understand it myself. I have a lot of guests coming from outside of the United States and out of the State (myself and finance included) trying to figure out where and what is not needed to move forward with our rescheduled July 2021 wedding. Is their any way of chatting with someone with the health department to answer my growing list of questions and concerns on the topic?

Yes and you should be able to look up the mandates via your state government page

Every state has a Covid hotline and faq page. Find out what the regulations are via those for NY and pass on the info.

NYS DOH website has a lot of information. Unless something changed we still have the 10 day quarantine upon arrival from Out of state, with the option to test out on day 3. I remember Cuomo saying something about all guests needing to be tested, but I'm not sure if that's specific to NY or everywhere.

Things change weekly here though 😂

Everyone has to show prof of a negative covid test 72 hours before hand or rapid 6 hours before event the day off. Sign in sheet when you get there. Masks are a must unless seating, eating & drinking. You must wear mask while dancing and can only dance with the family members in your household, there are suppose to be distance sections for each table or something to dance.

Absolutely check in with the state website every week.

Keep in mind that overseas guests may not be permitted, and that may not be known until July. Quarantining is required for out-of-state, and I assume overseas.

    Masks are required.

You could try contacting the county where you are getting married, to get very specific regulations.
